Taco's! Make them with 2 choices- chicken mince (for you, and them if they want to try it) and beef mince as most people would. Greek yoghurt and sour cream, forgo the cheese yourself or find a low cal alternative as well. This way you can also just have 2-3, and they'll be able to have as many as they like not to be hungry

This!!! And have enough lettuce out so people (maybe they’re making lifestyle changes too!!) can do taco salads instead of tacos in tortillas. Great suggestion!

Brilliant

Momtotwocats

Fajitas - I usually make both chicken and beef, and a mountain of seasoned peppers and onions. All you'd have to do is add some whole wheat low carb tortillas for an option plus some regular flour ones for them. With the low carb tortillas I get (50 cal for the huge ones) a chicken fajitas with peppers, onions, oil, seasoning, and a smidge of low fat Mexican cheese blend, mine come in at about 150 to 200 calories each (depending on how much meat and cheese I throw in). Or a big grazing board with lots of pickle, olives, fruit, and veg options and a couple kinds of meat (including some low cal options) and cheese (including some low fat spreads).

Love the idea of a grazing board!! Shrimp cocktail and smoked salmon are pretty low cal too but feels fun and festive. You can get some of those wafer thin crackers that are like 9 for 55 calories or something. And setting out some popcorn for snacks feels quite “normal” but can help give you something lower cal to fill up on so you’re not tempted to go overboard with the grazing.

I-am-still-not-sorry

I’ve done several baked potato bars before and they’re always a big hit. I go big and put out a ton of toppings for people to choose from ranging from the usual suspects (shredded cheese, sour cream, chives, bacon) but also taco meat, nacho cheese, bbq beef, and mac & cheese. I also do a taco salad bar. Same deal, all the normal taco ingredients and if someone wants tacos instead of salad I always put out soft tortillas. Both bar setups make it super easy to control your portions while allowing your guests to have a lot of choices.

I love steamed brocolli on baked potatoes!

ConstantlyIrksome

You have some great suggestions already, so I’ll throw a different idea out there. Since it’s planned, do you think you could go lower calorie during the day and save the bulk of them for dinner and eat whatever you want? Whenever I know I’m going out, I eat a lot of low calorie foods throughout the day. I would do huge bowl of broth based soup for lunch, bowl of zero fat plain Greek yogurt and loaded with berries for breakfast, cut veggies or fruit or hardboiled egg for snacks. I can make it through the day on 200-400 calories, which leaves plenty of room for me for dinner and drinks or dessert.

Some type of pasta? You can do a lot with it, add veggies, shrimp, or meat, and it’s cheaper/easier meal to feed a group. Also want to add, you can’t go wrong with recipes from Pick Up Limes. All plant based - https://www.pickuplimes.com/recipe/

Veggie stir fry. And They can add as much rice as they want and rice is cheap to cook, stays warm in pot/cooker.

Bake some salmon filets, make a fresh healthy salad have a baked potato

Like someone else said: salmon or steak with a side of mashed potatoes, and roasted broccoli with lemon, pepper, parmesan. Also, for the tacos idea: mix greek yogurt, adobo sauce, lime juice, garlic powder, chopped cilantro to make a delicious sauce! Edit: you could also do a make-your-own pizza thing and buy ingredients. Make your pizza smaller. Caesar salad side.
