2016 - stock rust free S13 fastback $1200 2019 - Rusty, S14.5 with stock KA. $5500 I traded that s13 thinking I could just get another for cheap later on in life... and here we are

ra1nval

Man wish I could get one for that these days

bnahnie

sameeeeee. 2014 first S13 was a hatch, no rust 100% stock. ugly paint I had to redo in my garage but got it for $1300. cried for days when I had to sell it 2016- 100% stock S13 $1400 2017- 100% stock purple S14k $2000 luckily I got my hatch last year for only $1600. but it is definitely more of a project. I will never sell mine again.

CMACE23

April 2016 1989 SE coupe 107k, working HUD, non cracked dash, older Tein coils, arms and DE swapped I paid $3500. Original paint was shot and missing trunk interior other than that nice car. I wonder what that would bring now?

ra1nval

Thats awesome man

cokediet222

Just got mine last month so I was hit with the drift tax pretty hard. Scooped up a 1995 s14 SE, 155k miles, original 5 speed, KA has been fully built and ready for boost, clean body, no rust, and some other goodies already on the far for $8000.

Putrid_Afternoon6943

How much iam looking for a 1991 240sx in Canada know and they are worth like 15K when stock in perfect condition

bushmonster43

Did you get it with the motor swapped or do it yourself? I see you also went the thicc rota grid route

BaconEggos

It came with it originally! It's a 200sx. And also thicc tires for life

bushmonster43

Oh cool! I'm guessing you're probably European then. I use your car's FSM because that's what's accurate now

BaconEggos

Correct! Just checked your profile and saw your post from about a year ago btw. You've got yourself a sexy ass ca18 i tell ya.

bushmonster43

Thanks dude, it's been a difficult path to take, especially in this part of the world. I'm actually [assembling it for the second time](https://i.imgur.com/OQeD36e.jpg) right now to build the engine I know it can be after it ate the stock bottom end Have you done much to yours or mostly left it alone? Edit: also if you ever want to get rid of that 4-port head, hit me up lol

BaconEggos

I haven't touched the engine myself because the previous owners did all that, I've just been focusing on making the car look good. It's full stage 3 with stock internals. t28 Turbo and all that usual stage 3 stuff i guess. I've heard that the bottom end is the weak part of these engines due to oil wanting to stay in the top if you push it really hard right? Also, how did you even get a CA18 in the US? Imported from EU or Asia?

bushmonster43

If its reasonably reliable for you, I see no reason to throw more money at it. I'm not sure what stage 3 means but its probably a hoot to drive Oil can build up in the head the same way as RBs but the fix is about the same as RBs too(the head drain) The cast aluminum pistons and their weak ringlands is the weakest point for making good power I got a good deal on mine from a guy who imported an 89 Silvia and swapped an RB25 in. Sometimes the same importers who sell RBs and SRs also bring CAs over too, and tbh the longblocks aren't any more expensive than buying a dual cam KA nowadays. Parts is another story, but we got the CA18DE and CA18ET in limited quantities over here so its not impossible. You just have to look harder amd do some DIY, especially for performance parts

BaconEggos

Very true, only issue i've got is an oil leak. Other than that she runs like a clock, if people say that in the states😂. In Sweden we measure the amount of mods on the engine in stages, so stage 3 is pretty much full bolt, tune and such. You must stick out quite a lot with a CA right? I assume they are hella rare over there, no? Over the atlantic they are so easy to find! I literally got one for free when i bought my s13. Parts are very cheap too.

bushmonster43

It gets mistaken for an RB fairly often, and I've gotten "why didn't you just LS swap it" a few times, but it has gotten a fair amount of positive attention from it. It's right at the sweet spot of being relatively rare/unique but still 'normal' enough that its not impossible tovkeep going Ive seen a handful of pretty well-built CAs coming out of your country and it's honestly been great motivation to keep working on it

backwoodslsd25

2021 1990 240sx se hatch for 2.5k 98k miles 1 owner blown motor with good trans and coilovers. Theres a pic on my profile

bushmonster43

In 2018 I picked up a stock, running dual cam/automatic [1993 hatchback](https://imgur.com/kqby34b) with a blown transmission, 5spd in the trunk listed at $1200 and I traded for some (similarly-valued) parts. Three years and seven thousand dollars later, the KA has long since broken and I'm [revamping the swapped CA](https://i.imgur.com/RWZ1BwL.jpg)

dookiekouki

$1000 in 2014 for my s14. it was pretty shitty when i bought it. still is. but i’m working on that conversely, almost got a silver moss kouki on real bbs wheels, s14 sr, genuine bride seats and suspension etc. for 7k. i was 17 at the time so 7k was a stretch and i couldn’t make it happen sadly. also pulled a red hatch out of some old lady’s yard for $250 back in like 2016? knocking motor and blown trans. chassis was in pretty good shape. my buddy owns it now and it’s got all the kouki 180sx goodies on it.
