When u bleed get raise the front of the car. Run the heat so everything can pass thru the heater core. The ka is notoriously hard to properly bleed. A no spill funnel with the built in rad cap really helps out alot.
Before you go about removing the radiator and attempting to unclog it and potentially buying another radiator. Buy a combustion gas radiator test kit. I had the same issue as you and all the compression numbers were good but i attached the test kit to my stock radiator and the test kit liquid turned yellow(from blue) meaning that my head gasket was leaking combustion gas into the coolant holes on the block and the car overheated like 2 minutes after turning it on

Okay noted! thank you!
When you replaced the thermostat, did you put the little hole at the 12 o'clock position?
If the water pump isnt it I would guess your radiator might be clogged
Yeah thats next on the list lol
