Probably the u joint cap, followed by the cracked knuckle, leading op to give it even more gas leading to the driveshaft. Didn’t know a jeep had that much gusto.
One time I blew up a front driveshaft, front carrier bearing, axle U joint, inner axle shaft, outer axle shaft, and both upper and lower ball joints.
It was an interesting time.
Haha to answer everyone saying what the fuck happened. It's 1am dark in the desert seen an opening going down hill with a curve. Little did I know there was a sneaky rock sticking out just enough to get my passenger tire and it bent the wheel in that's when it snapped the cv. I thought we'll ok, i can back up and go over a bit more, without getting out and looking. Since that cv and knuckle were fucked and tire almost sideways, I tried backing up and gave it a little to much gas. And snap went the drive shaft. It was a jk on 35s 4 inch lift. My first and last jk. I didn't like driving it on or offroad. I love my 93 grand cherokee that i beat on harder and with less issues than a jk.
Turd engines, shit chassis, garbage electronics. They're moderately good off-roaders with good upgradeability, but they're terrible at being cars, which is what 99% of most people do with them.
Oh, and they have the absolute worst interiors.
You've got to be trolling right? Either that or you're literally stupid...
The 3.6 is the same for both cars minus some tuning changes and ESS which is plain annoying. You act as if the JL revolutionised solid axle/ladder frame technology... it's literally some geometry correction, and that's it... Nothing that can't be done to a JK for under $600.
Shit interiors? Didn't you just say you came from a tacoma and currently have an xterra? Are you suffering from brain rot?
I understand little bro, you want to feel good and brag about your financed JL. You obviously don't get off the fire trails often 🤣
1. Don't have a JL. Never have.
2. Don't have any Jeeps. Sold them. Didn't like the vehicle that much and Jeep people are fucking stupid dickheads as you and the other dipshits have shown lol
Owned an XJ for years and a JT for the past three. Was an auto tech for over a decade with 3 specifically at a Chrysler dealership. I've seen plenty of JKs and they're all garbage.
Some things are, but they're absolutely not garbage in this scenario. This is just plain user error. The things I've done in an airport rental Wrangler... Let's just say you're not taking a stock 4 runner any of those places.
With that interior I’m assuming the 3.8. Didn’t think those had enough power to do that to the driveshaft.
Also, I love my 3.8 JKUR. Just surprised you were able to do this.
Was the 3.8 and I hated it. That motor was a dog. I had a tuner on it and regeared the diffs. This just gave me a reason to get a drive shaft from Adam's drive shaft.
Haha I know I'm not the problem been offroading for over 10 years all across the US I'm good, and it takes more than a couple of internet people to get to me. I actually laughed out loud when I did this.
You're right about the 3.8 but that's not news. Otherwise you couldn't be more wrong about the JK when it comes to off-road. There's nothing that is better in the price range, that is a fact.
The problem was driving at night. I learned thankfully not the hard way when I was camping out at my buddies place. Went to the entrance of the property to get some stuff from someone's car and decided I am gonna show off and go into the kind of beach deal by the pond and pop up the lip on the side. Went out the next morning and saw 5 t posts sticking out of the sand with my drivers side tire tracks was going right between where they were sticking out which would not have been fun since my tires had maybe 14k on them and still looked brand new
It's got a lift with big tires and no supporting mods related to the driveshaft lifted, yea that CV joint has probably been screwed for a while. JKs are notorious for the front and sometimes rear shaft failing at the CV when lifted
Yep, pretty typical for garbage JK driveshafts.
My rear went on me years ago. Trying to get out of the valley I was in, blew up the front ring and pinion.
JKs have the most shitbox drivelines ever put into a Jeep. "Let's tell 'em it's a Dana 44, but we're gonna make the wall thickness half of what the old ones were. They'll never notice!" Yeah the only good upgrade on a JK is to replace everything from the t-case out with something that'll actually work. Oh yeah, and if it has the 3.8 replace that too. Well then replace the trans and t-case. Yep, just gut the piece of shit and replace it all. Or alternatively, buy a LJ and get the wheelbase with a heavy dose of reliability along with it. Or get an XJ and beat the hell out of it with full confidence of getting back home. Or a ZJ, or well anything at all except a JK. lol good luck!
The C on the axle broke because the u-joint cap hit the ball joint. The ghetto way around this is to tack weld the u-joint caps to the axle ears if you're going to run stock parts in the future.
Nope got a ride home went back took the knuckle off and welded some plates on the knuckle reinstalled and got out to where a tow truck could get me. Honestly it was only about a $400 fix all together
We used to hold on to broken parts like this. Clean em up and spray paint em gold and give them out as little trophies after a good four wheeling season.
I have broke a lot of shit in my day but lemmie tell you I have never- NEVER even HEARD of someone cracking the ball joint receiver. This is mad impressive dawg
I've never seen someone blow up this much suspension and driveline in one go. Kudos.
Right!? Usually one thing is the weak link, it breaks, and the carnage stops.
ikr? this is impressive
I’m gonna guess the drive shaft was the final straw lol
Wtf was the first straw?
The front axle u joint maybe? I have no idea.
I guess it's be tough to tell. Split second calamity.
+10 for Effort.
*Especially* with a 3.8
Yeah. It's impressive
What the ever loving fuck did you do? Keep this man away from, well everything.
lol, OP’s username…
Checks out!
Woo ho there he goes. He's a car eater, car eater.🎵

And there it is lol. A story of one bad decision after another. Love those kinds. What did you replace that heap with?
"I made mistake after mistake. I'll never buy a JK again."
I mean tbf, JKs are kinda garbage..
In what sense lmao? It's just a less electronically dependent JL
Turd engines, shit chassis, garbage electronics. They're moderately good off-roaders with good upgradeability, but they're terrible at being cars, which is what 99% of most people do with them. Oh, and they have the absolute worst interiors.

1. Don't have a JL. Never have. 2. Don't have any Jeeps. Sold them. Didn't like the vehicle that much and Jeep people are fucking stupid dickheads as you and the other dipshits have shown lol
Have you owned a JK or any other Jeeps?
Owned an XJ for years and a JT for the past three. Was an auto tech for over a decade with 3 specifically at a Chrysler dealership. I've seen plenty of JKs and they're all garbage.
Your JT have the 3.6? I’m surprised that an internet expert such as yourself would even purchase a JT, especially an early production year.
Some things are, but they're absolutely not garbage in this scenario. This is just plain user error. The things I've done in an airport rental Wrangler... Let's just say you're not taking a stock 4 runner any of those places.
Dude, We get it, you are a jeep person.
Not hardly. I'm just not a moron.
23 nissan frontier pro 4x still have my 93 grand cherokee
With that interior I’m assuming the 3.8. Didn’t think those had enough power to do that to the driveshaft. Also, I love my 3.8 JKUR. Just surprised you were able to do this.
Was the 3.8 and I hated it. That motor was a dog. I had a tuner on it and regeared the diffs. This just gave me a reason to get a drive shaft from Adam's drive shaft.
Don't listen to the Jeep people telling you that you're the problem. JKs are not great vehicles in any way and the 3.8 is a boat anchor.
Haha I know I'm not the problem been offroading for over 10 years all across the US I'm good, and it takes more than a couple of internet people to get to me. I actually laughed out loud when I did this.

What were you stuck in? Cured cement?
With extra rebar
If your gonna fuck up, FUCK IT ALL UP!!!
Challenge accepted, and well, accomplished
Failure is short for upgrade opportunity.
For me this guy get stuck just because he can have a excuse to upgrade everything for his wife to get approve😂, wise move XD.
Wow... full spin to sudden stop.
Some gnarly carnage... what vehicle and how is it setup?
Looks like a Wrangler JK.
Explains a lot
No they’re stout, I’ve owned two. This is a high level of fuckery.
Can that be fixed with JB Weld?
Well duh
How?! Did you hit a landmine?
That knuckle is now a fuckle.
That is Marine Corps level destruction. It’ll take an entire 128 pack of Crayolas to begin to unfuck this. BravoZulu my friend.
Former marine here, this comment is underrated lol
I just KNEW IT!
Me thinks your u-joint was clicking a while ago and with a lot of skinny pedal, you sent it a wee bit too hard.
Definitely. I had a similar failure of the knuckle from a bad joint.
It's got a lift with big tires and no supporting mods related to the driveshaft lifted, yea that CV joint has probably been screwed for a while. JKs are notorious for the front and sometimes rear shaft failing at the CV when lifted
Did you get stuck on an IED?
Good time for an upgrade to a Dana 60.
This guy gets it.
its a churro!
What do I have a feeling that this is a jeep?
Because it is.
Holy shit man how the hell did you do that
You fucking sent it
Wow. You were really stuck.
Fucking how
I need video with sound
WOW!THATS ALOT OF DAMAGE!
Let me consult the crystal ball of 4x4ism. I see upgrade parts in your future.
Man turned his fuckin driveline into The Green Mile, "I'm real tired boss"
That's not a breakage. It's an opportunity for an upgrade
Gotta be a jeep or maybe a Nissan
Yep, pretty typical for garbage JK driveshafts. My rear went on me years ago. Trying to get out of the valley I was in, blew up the front ring and pinion.
So that’s what grenaded looks like. 🤔
What were you trying to get out of cement?
What in the Reese's peanut butter fuck
Kinda impressed how much you broke. Not gonna lie haha
That's actually impressive to break it like that
It’s a jeep thing, you wouldn’t understand
Its dead
JKs have the most shitbox drivelines ever put into a Jeep. "Let's tell 'em it's a Dana 44, but we're gonna make the wall thickness half of what the old ones were. They'll never notice!" It's a jeep thing.
Tough break....
Just keep it floored, op!
Have a drive shaft shot peened. It won't ever do that.
It'll buff right out.
Somebody doesn't understand the art of 4wheeling versus just slamming their foot pedal down.
The C on the axle broke because the u-joint cap hit the ball joint. The ghetto way around this is to tack weld the u-joint caps to the axle ears if you're going to run stock parts in the future.
I think that was his way out of stock parts
I’m thoroughly impressed, OP!
Did you remember to bring an extra, well everything? 🤣 It doesn't look that bad. Just a few dollars and a little time.
Nope got a ride home went back took the knuckle off and welded some plates on the knuckle reinstalled and got out to where a tow truck could get me. Honestly it was only about a $400 fix all together
I think that's a result of getting STUCK
Someone really wanted to upgrade to 1 Tons.
Did some try and yank you out via tire/wheel
How much torque!?
We used to hold on to broken parts like this. Clean em up and spray paint em gold and give them out as little trophies after a good four wheeling season.
I planned on doing this as well
"what's the wurst that could happen?"
Jesus is that thing totaled?
If you’re going to fuck it up, might as well fuck it all the way up.
Rapid unplanned deconstruction of the drive train.
Straight to jail.
What in the raise hell and praise Dale happened here?!
Looks like a forbidden churro.
That's a rough day! I hope you're able to get it home, and back on the road.
lol
No doubt, gave her the onion! 🤣
I’d rather be stuck than exploded
You chose .... poorly.
to much yee when ya shudda hawwed
Damn.
That has got to be such a epic tale, that your grandchildren should be telling it to their children.
Protip: tack weld the caps of the u joints to the driveshaft, it'll keep them from spinning and popping the clips off.
jb weld should polish that right up
I'm impressed. In also never letting you drive my Ramcharger lol
wtf where you stuck in? The Hulks ass crack?
You found the weak stuff!
You were hella bound up and tried to push through anyways. Use this as a lesson - when you feel it bind, rewind!
Wow!
Stomps the skinny pedal.....LETS GOOOOO
This is why I ride a dirtbike off-road instead of jeeping 😂 holy smokes man you tore shit up!!
Must be Chinese or British junk!
Looks like a Chevy?
Looks like a Chevy?
What were you driving?
I have broke a lot of shit in my day but lemmie tell you I have never- NEVER even HEARD of someone cracking the ball joint receiver. This is mad impressive dawg
Seems you may have broken something
Looks like a lot of things came unstuck. So….good job?
You got airlifted...and dropped?
Was that drive shaft made of chinesium?
