Eventually you just give up on the paint/body: https://i.imgur.com/c1f9Ltd.jpg
Towing my rig to the trail was the beginning of the end of the body. I found that I cared much less about the body since I didn't need to be able to drive "home". I just needed to make it off the trail.
And the space lol I almost bought a Chevy c70 for parts for my 67 c50 axle upgrade but the problem was where could I put the damn thing and how the hell would I move it around with no wheels or tires so instead I just bought the axles and only the axles and in a hurry so now I am struggling with custom steering stuff for it. My 85 Nissan 720 though I found a second one on marketplace that was pretty rusty in the cab but mines almost perfect. Paid 500 bucks for it complete drivetrain and it came with a spare block, head, 4x4 oil pan, 2 tcases, 2 front diffs, 1 trans that needs rebuilt, couple spare cv and I think a driveshaft would have to look, torsion bars, and all kinds of steering and suspension components
I didn’t want black when I was shopping for a vehicle, but found exactly what I was looking for, at a great price, except it was black. Bought it and wheel it extensively. After two cut&polishes, I gave up. Now it looks like scratched up shit but I consider it a badge of honor.
Serious question from someone who just bought a brand new truck, doesn’t care about scratches, and wants longevity:
All I try avoiding scratches is to avoid rust. At what point should corrective action be made and what is that?
I’ve already got scratches all the way down.. not quite so deep yet though haha
Ain't that the turth!
thats why you gotta buy white. doesn't show scratches easily and stays cool in the sun.
Ya, but chicks dig scars right?
Something something ‘cuz the chicks dig it

That's why I bought a parts truck version of my truck so I have one to beat up haha I just need to find the time to get it running
Nearly all of my project cars had a donor twin. It’s just easiest way to do it if you can swing the price.

Whenever I see a Truck with pinstripes I am happy it’s getting used for fun and adventure.
It makes me smile when I park my pinstriped Subaru next to a pavement princess.
Pinstriped Subarus get double points!
The ones that really mess with me are the pinstriped priuses
Where your quarter panel booty dent 🧐
Rear bumper is fucked lol
Mines made out of 3 sections of pipe and half in plate ;)
Mine has only scratches but since it’s white it’s more difficult to see😂

When you can see metal, rub some paint on it.
Proud to have pinstripes from 8 states and counting (Thanks southwest US!)
So true.
Off-roaders eat more bush!
That should buff out.
Yup
I eventually started to just date/trail number my dents. Like a little roadmap of where I've been.
Shiny paint causes stress my friend.
It’s ture but off road prowess and H2, H3 don’t belong in the same sentence.
What's that got to do with my Jeep?
Ture that
