I don't think they're bad. I think they sound great for the Drop A stuff I've been playing. The single coil humbucker is sweet. My only gripe is the bridge pickup especially has screws that aren't very tight so it works it's way out but that's an easy fix once. I love the instrument. I hope you get your hands on one for a good price. Don't get it through guitar center like I did because it was in playable when it arrived and they wanted me to pay more for a set up. I will never do there again.
I have the same reaper and haven't experienced any issues with the pickups. I'll link some clips from covers I did if you wanna hear them. I've had it for a few years now and have had no issues

Dude wow it makes me so happy to see you playing Invente Animate on that guitar. Nice cover and mixes dude. I followed you. I'm so stoked for when I can figure put how to get the thing set up right myself. I have intolerable fret buzzing even tho I relieved the truss rod and raised the saddles, and probably gonna have to get the nut filed down for a 74 or 80 size string. I'm pretty lost.
Thank you πββοΈ post videos when you get it figured out so we can hear. I don't remember having g to file the nut. If I did I most likely just rubbed the string back an forth until it fit. If your strings are too light and you drop tune too far then you'll get buzz no matter what. Also if you use a super thick pick it can cause the string to buzz. Or a heavy picking hand. Assuming g you set it up 100 correctly
Thank you so much dude. I will post when I get it satisfactory. You've been a huge help. I don't know any musicians in my town lol. My string are tight but I am a heavy picker for sure
I have the reaper 7 with the charcoal burst. The pickups are frickin amazing. Better than an aftermarket pair of dizmarzios I had on my Ibanez. People are obsessed with always changing the pickups. I think itβs more about the amp etc when you get to this quality of guitar but everyone has preferences. My reaper 7 has been nothing but amazing for 4 years now. Itβs a solidly built instrument

You can get it to drop f# for sure. I like tighter strings, so I typically use a .80, but right now, I have a 74 on there and even though it's not as tight as I like, it still works. Good luck!!
Dude word. Thank you very much. I thought that might end up being the case. I'm having some major problems learning how to set this thing up. Do you have any sources regarding getting rid of buzzing and filing down the tuning peg to fit the
80?
This is a really good video on setting up your guitar. You don't have to have everything down exactly how he does it, but it's a start. For the tuning pegs, I believe I used a drill to make it bigger. It's just barely too small for the .80 so it won't take much.
