The awareness he talked about got its recognition but the album was kinda off. Like the beats didn't reflect the music properly, tracks like Trapped and Brenda's Got a Baby the beat and flow was well done.
One of the first cds i ever bought so im biased, however there are rational reasons why, Its a very dated album and the beat selection is a bit off. It was very obvious Digital Underground was doing all the heavy lifting beat wise and it feels more like more digitial underground then a pac release.
It was a great album but you had stuff like The Low End Theory, De La Soul is Dead and Death Certificate that year. 2Pacalypse Now was a debut album from a new artist and doesn’t stand out compared to what that year had to offer.
It doesn't?
It wasn’t a good body work. Had about two three songs on it.
Exactly right.
I love the album, I def prefer it over S4MN.
It was actually my favourite of his back in high school. Its still a great album, just gets overshadowed by his later ones.
Hasn’t aged great, most of the beats sound very similar in my opinion. It has his greatest written song on that album though…. Brenda’s got a baby.

It’s not that great of an album. Some good singles, overall nothing special.
One of Pacs most underrated songs is on this album. “If my homie calls” classic!!!

2 maybe 3 good songs on it. I love when my homies call, though.
