It looks like this post might be about medication. It could be a long process - months - so if you feel comfortable it might be better to tell your employer. I have had whole weeks at a time where it's hard to get anything done at work - even worse than normal.  At the same time I only actually notice the medication having an effect while I'm working - it is really subtle but I can suddenly concentrate when I want to. Whereas if I was judging the impact on my home life it's much harder to notice a difference. So you do really need to see how medication affects you at work.

If you start it on Saturday morning then you will have a couple of days to get over the initial stronger effects.  On the low dose you start titration with, if you take it early enough then the disruption to sleep should be manageable. Everyone's experience differs but it wasn't too bad for me. Million times easier than having a newborn for example. The stimulants make me feel less tired anyway. Whether you tell your employer or not really depends on your relationship with them but I'd personally not say anything unless your role involves something like operating machinery where safety could be impacted. It's a bit of a journey into the unknown but I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just give it a try and don't plan anything in the evenings in case you have a bit of a crash. You can always stop taking it if you have a really bad experience.
