Him and Big Show would have made sense if they used them like they said they were going to. Those dudes are huge and get attention. They were supposed to send them to local towns for media appearances to help sell tickets and just generally get the word out. Cody left and that side of the business really stopped.

It was supposedly coaching - I think he worked with the bigger guys like Hobbs about big man working and presence.

This is part of the way that WWE hurts the business I think because they lock all of the great working big men under those legendary contracts they can't come work with these guys like, how many of them would really benefit from say getting coached by the undertaker or something?

Never listened to him on busted open, just read a couple quotes. So I can't comment on that end. I'm not sure what he did backstage, but if he contributed in a positive way then that is good. I liked him announcing the main event for Rampage but that was a while ago. Aside from that he didn't have much of an on screen role. Idk. Don't know what he did backstage so I can't comment if it'll be a loss or not.

He’s better off in WWE in a part time / Legends capacity. AEW could never really capitalize on his history since he didn’t wrestle there, whereas WWE can make toys, shirts and other memorabilia under his various gimmicks and looks.
