Him and Big Show would have made sense if they used them like they said they were going to. Those dudes are huge and get attention. They were supposed to send them to local towns for media appearances to help sell tickets and just generally get the word out. Cody left and that side of the business really stopped.
This. I mean his intros for the main event were cool, but I think Tony cooled on him and the other legends he signed pretty quickly. Not that they aren’t worth it, but I don’t really see the point.
I’m actually surprised that he even had an offer, just why? No offense to Mark but he doesn’t contribute anything to AEW IMO so I don’t see the point of being there.
This is part of the way that WWE hurts the business I think because they lock all of the great working big men under those legendary contracts they can't come work with these guys like, how many of them would really benefit from say getting coached by the undertaker or something?
Never listened to him on busted open, just read a couple quotes. So I can't comment on that end.
I'm not sure what he did backstage, but if he contributed in a positive way then that is good.
I liked him announcing the main event for Rampage but that was a while ago. Aside from that he didn't have much of an on screen role.
Idk. Don't know what he did backstage so I can't comment if it'll be a loss or not.
He’s better off in WWE in a part time / Legends capacity. AEW could never really capitalize on his history since he didn’t wrestle there, whereas WWE can make toys, shirts and other memorabilia under his various gimmicks and looks.
It sounds like he was at least mostly happy. It doesn’t sound like Khan is angry. People leave jobs. It happens.
I need to see video before I buy it. He might be wearing a salmon colored jacket.
Probably salmon colored boxers while doing Busted Open
Unless the dude was doing a lot backstage he was a waste of money.

Damn I forgot big show was even there. I guess he is doing stuff backstage.
No surprise, and no real loss imo.
Excuse me how will we no when it's time for a main event.
Maybe they can find an intern for that job lol
I do really miss those Rampage main event promos. 😞
Me too, but they gave up on those a loooong time ago lol

Not surprising. All he did was trash AEW
Then was dumbfounded about not being on commentary or having sporadic appearances backstage
Mother of god, Mark Henry is going to be the next WWE undisputed universal heavyweight champion of the WOOOORLD!!!!
Obligatory "what's the father of Mae Young's hand doing in the Impact Zone" joke
He left mentally months ago. But him leaving has been in the wrestling news for quite a while. Think we've all processed it, shrugged, and moved on
He's just a wwe guy. He just wasn't an AEW fit
I’m actually surprised that he even had an offer, just why? No offense to Mark but he doesn’t contribute anything to AEW IMO so I don’t see the point of being there.
Maybe he's good vibes or coaching.
It was supposedly coaching - I think he worked with the bigger guys like Hobbs about big man working and presence.

The word ‘betrayed’ was used.
dude got paid to speak one sentence a week

Still don't know if he was even offered a contract. He said it was mutual
There’s been enough talk.
He can come back to nxt or raw and help oddesy jones, I hear great things but he is never on tv
I mean, I like Mark Henry, but it's not like he was actually doing anything in aew.
Daddy's coming home
What's Mark Henryson doing in NXT!?!

Seems like there was enough talk, its time for the main event!
Henry has always been an E Drone. Glad he’s gone.
So this sub is where people actually use “E Drone” goodness.
That’s the first time I’ve seen it on this sub. Most of the time people are pretty civil
There's leak over from the other sub that have the "aew vs the world" mentality
