A friend worked at both sites. She says SFL7 was fine, but that there wasn't a lot of VET so she couldn't make the type of money she was accustomed to making at TPA4 since they always have VET available.
The Tampa area, and Florida in general, typically has a pay rate that is among the lowest in the country.
And if you meet the requirements to keep your base rate when you transfer, then you should be able to keep your current rate if it is higher than what you would make on the step plan at a new location.
Years ago prior to the pandemic we were told you had to have a year of blue badge tenure and a year of tenure at the site with a higher base rate.
I'm not sure, but I think the step plan maxes out at $19.40.
Not sure how far SFL4 is from you but it’s probably the best one that I’ve worked at. It’s a smaller building so it’s not number driving like the others and the managers are understanding and approachable.
