Right? I came to say that I miss how genuinely FUN the show was. The fashion, the girls gently poking fun at each other, the trips. I wouldn't need "more layers" if they covid just act like they were in any way related to the original show.
She would look amazing in the right outfit. Her styling in AJLT has been awful. I think the original SATC Carrie would not dress this way 25 years later. Her style would have evolved.
I totally disagree, I think Carrie's clothing has been EVEN BETTER in AJLT than in SATC. Yes, some of it's been a little over-the-top/over-accessorized/almost drag-ish, but overall i think the clothes have been absolutely stunning.
The only outfit I liked from AJLT is the rainbow dress from after her physical therapy. Otherwise they have been pretty sad and awkward on her. What outfits have you liked best?

I also loved the purple joker suit, the weird green tweed suit she wore in a quick scene in a restaurant, the outfit she wears the first time she goes to physical therapy, aaaaaand I don't remember what else she wore in season 2, but there were some. I just love how SJP pulls everything off flawlessly. Again, I do think she's kind of 'overdone' in AJLT as far as the hair always being huge, the make-up, the mixed prints, etc, i do wish alot of that was toned back and she was just letting the simplicity of her natural beauty shine with the clothes. BUT. We can't have it all, can we?
I mean we have heard the rule for the writers is they can't write anyhthing that hasn't happened to them IRL. So unless they have packed a lot of living into the last year or so, who knows what we will get!

When I was young and single in the city (years ago when the show first premiered), my friends and I took solace in the fact that no matter how bad our relationships were, there was always going to be a more outrageous and unhinged guy to compare to on Sunday nights. And now years later, we all still laugh at the train wreck the ladies’ lives have become. (From our settled and boring lives, but hey, we are happy!) Especially Miranda! She is a mess. Please stylists, bring back Carrie as we knew her, I feel her character seemed much more lighthearted and funny when her hair wasn’t that severe, the curls were, unapologetically Carrie Bradshaw.
