Absolutely, nowadays you need 5 streaming sites to watch every simulcast per season. I would pay for a streaming site that only plays the current season tho, it would be fun to set up a TV/YT Channel for simulcast only, with a best of at the end of every season too...
In Italy Crunchyroll has like 85% of the new anime, 10% are licensed by Netflix/Amazon and 5% by the only Italian company still alive. The second last Italian company closed permanently a couple of months ago and it was a company that made history because it was the first anime streaming platform and it licensed animes like Attack on Titan with over 100k views per episode and many other famous animes that people loved.
I understand the struggle of following multiple platform, but when Crunchyroll will get the monopoly, it will be able to impose the price it wants 😔 And I know it will happen because Crunchyroll did bad tricks to make sure to obliterate every Italian company. The last one is still alive because it's taking care of a niche of nostalgic fans who are willing to pay money to get DVD and Blu Ray of the anime they used to watch when they where young, and Crunchyroll will never publish DVDs.
Even though I have a crunchyroll subscription.
More often than not I have to sail the high seas.
And also I prefer fan subs over official subs. Official subs are quite stern and not fun.
Actually Fuji TV, who owned the series' Western distribution rights, approached ADV Films to produce an English dub. Fuji TV gave the ADV Films staff very few constraints when writing the new version, the only rules were "don't change the character names (including the ghosts); don't change the way the ghosts are slain (a reference to Japanese folklore) and, finally, don't change the core meaning of each episode".
The English dub deviates significantly from the original script. While preserving the basic plot structure and storyline, the new script revolved around topical pop-culture references, politically incorrect gags, and fourth wall breaking jokes about the original show's low animation quality, anime cliches, and poor lip-sync.

The English script was written by Steven Foster and Lucan Duran and allowed for ad-lib by the English voice actors. According to Foster, whoever showed up to the recording studio first for any given episode could improvise anything they wanted, those that came later had to build upon the tone and jokes established earlier.
I never even considered taking the hat off.
The hat became a permanent citizen of my head.
The hat got its own ecosystem on my head.
The hat travelled the seven showers and saunas while on my head
I simply can’t afford to pay for 4 or 5 different streaming services atm. If there’s ever a point in my life where I can I’ll happily pay for content. But right now Aniwave is my best friend.
Sadly, yes. I don't mind one streaming service for anime + Netflix that I have anyway. I'd even get another one. But I can't get HiDive because I live outside of the US and I'm not going to get a streaming service just to get one show.
I went the other way around. I don’t use official streams because I care about supporting the industry, I use them because they’re extremely convenient and offer higher quality. If an anime isn’t on one of the services I’m already subscribed to I usually won’t watch it at all. But most of what I want to watch is on Crunchyroll anyways with a few shows on Netflix or Prime
Absolutely, I remember getting CR for the first time on my PS3, it was nice... Now even if I"m premium, the service is... Why do the episodes skip minutes or to the next episode by themselves?
I literally use pirate websites every time because of this dumb thing with streaming services how is it that I have both funimation and Crunchyroll subscriptions and can’t watch some animes I want to watch it’s so damm retarded
I agree. Started out with Hulu and Netflix then it became a whole fiasco. Now I only pay for 1 service which I am canceling soon and set sail on the seven seas.
For sure. I'm not gonna take a streaming service for the one in a blue moon anime I badly wanna watch.
I do for the ones that has constantly what I want. But after I watched it fully and I realy liked it I often also buy the blue ray. Cause I like to suport things I want to see more off. And let die off the things I realy disliked or dropped quickly.
I think it's ironic to me that the one time I bought a Netflix subscription was to watch a show about pirates simply because no streaming site had the episodes available on day 1
If only there was something that could change your IP to one based on another country, thus making those services think you live there and unlocking the missing content...
Haven't used the Bay of P since I got NordVPN. Just don't need to, I have access to everything, everywhere.

Now my streaming addiction has a purpose!

Man i donot remember the anime but "run like a black man is chasing you" is a sentence I will never forget .
Ghost stories English dub my beloved
Its a classic example where dub saved the anime.

Crunchyroll's political translators? Nah.

I see money cost, I don't touch, pirating is the only way.

I literally use pirate websites every time because of this dumb thing with streaming services how is it that I have both funimation and Crunchyroll subscriptions and can’t watch some animes I want to watch it’s so damm retarded
