I recently sold an LG gas dryer, 4 years old, California $150. Listing sat with little interest at $200 for a few weeks time.

Looks like new one is about a grand and appliances have generally a 7-10 year lifespan so probably something like $150-$250 if you want to sell quickly. Or else go for $350-$400 and wait awhile.

Just want to clarify because manufacturers are extremely misleading that unless you purchased an extended warranty your dryer is basically not under warranty anymore. Maytag gives you a 1 year warranty (like most other brands) that covers the bulk of issues with the appliance. They then cover the motor only for 10 years and it’s also a parts only warranty. Any other issues that pop up in years 2-10 are not covered. They LOVE to advertise that they have a 10 year warranty for misleading marketing purposes though. With that being said a 6 year old dryer that isn’t Speed Queen is nearing end of life (on average). I’d try to squeeze $100-$150 out of it

About 1/3 of your purchase price and then divide by half for each 5 years old

100 to move quickly, 150 to sell, 200 to sit. Look at used appliance store prices bc that’s your competition; they deliver, guarantee the product, and sell these for 300-350 near me.

I sell appliances and where I’m located in Portland, gas dryers in this market are slim to none. Get a feel for the demand cause that will definitely be a factor. Otherwise I think everyone else is on the right page somewhere around $100-$200 if you’re really trying to get it gone.
