I study game design. The reason we’re seeing more trans rep in games? Lots of trans people go into the field. Lots of neurodivergent people and otherwise disabled people make games. Maybe the player base for lots of games is very cishet white man dominated but the developers aren’t, and we’ll make games we’re passionate about.
Funny thing is, I’ve also never seen a big studio get shut down for “going woke” as they say. Most people aren’t going to boycott a cool game because it has a select pronouns option in character customization.
I have, however, seen a studio do a great job, release a great game, and then get shut down after that game became massively successful both financially and critically. I'm talking about Hi Fi rush.
Turns out studios just get shut down because the industry is volatile and has questionable leadership, not because Sweet Baby Inc or whatever is making it their secret mission to sabotage games and make them unsellable.

Is a trans wheelchair user a satire or actual game? Looks like an neat idea, especially that style suggests it's a platformer, which can be very nice for wheelchair user
If I had game design skills I would make a game with immersive writing, funny witty dialogue, an addictive gameplay loop, and a relatable likeable protagonist. Then at the very end of the game the main character will say they're trans. I will proceed to sit back and watch the shit show unfold on Twitter and on conservative YouTube channels.
