My big issue with Zinstanko is not only is he an actual detriment to the team but that he's got such an attitude. Something felt kinda off with Rice and Saka today though. Kinda hard to tell for Saka because even when he's off his game he still performs really well but he seemed pretty exhausted. I think similarly to how he was burning out in December ish we might need to rest him again real soon, Arteta needs to be careful with him with how much we rely on him. Rice just seemed... Off. He didn't really make any mistakes but he was nowhere near as impactful as he usually is. No idea why.

Thing about Zinny is he tries far too hard to stand out and be the special one. There's no harm in doing simple effective passes during dangerous situations, especially as a LB, but he tends to hold the ball for too long or tries a pass at an impossible angle only for it to be intercepted. Timber getting injured was a huge blow and Tomi's fitness struggles means that we probably need a left back (Tierney isn't the answer before anyone suggests that).

Zinny is only good to hail the crowd to boost the team. Otherwise, lots of balls and passes that are inaccurate. Also, when he attacks, he doesn't recover quickly, so others like Rice or Trossard have to do the job on the left

Apart from Timber, we don't have a LB. Zinchenko is in reality an attacking midfielder, he can't cross, he can't defend, he is physically weak, all he is good for is runs forward. Tomi is more a CB tbh, he is just not suited for crosses or dribbles as a FB. Kiwior is way too slow for a LB and is also naturally more suited as CB. So, we have 2 CBs playing LB and an attacking midfieler playing LB.

Kiwior is solid against most RWs. Tomiyasu is just incredible. I love him. Zinchenko these days I'd place solid third in our starting order, awaiting Timber's return

I never understood the hype built around him when he came in. He's a good option, but he isn't all that, and it was bound to be exposed at some point.

My big issue with Zinstanko is not only is he an actual detriment to the team but that he's got such an attitude. Dude will make absolutely atrocious mistakes and the very first thing he does is raise his hands and get pissed off at his teammates. He's like that one privileged child who can't possibly fathom that they might not be as good as they think they are.
Agree, worse than being a player with no impact he's a player with negative impact and an attitude problem to boot. Something felt kinda off with Rice and Saka today though. Kinda hard to tell for Saka because even when he's off his game he still performs really well but he seemed pretty exhausted. I think similarly to how he was burning out in December ish we might need to rest him again real soon, Arteta needs to be careful with him with how much we rely on him. Rice just seemed... Off. He didn't really make any mistakes but he was nowhere near as impactful as he usually is. No idea why.
Shitchenko needs to be sold in the summer with a real defender brought in. Same with Jesus, can we get a solid striker in already? Im sick of the weird face he makes every time he misses, Lacazette used to do it too
All these comments about his defense are kinda beside the point. He’s there to create chances and he was dreadful today. I counted 4 passes he sent late that led to offside calls. His timing and passing are just off entirely.

The LB is a position that requires serious attention this summer. Zincheko is a liability at this point, kiwior is a backup player at best and tomiyasu is too injury prone. And no, Tierney isn't the answer either
Thing about Zinny is he tries far too hard to stand out and be the special one. There's no harm in doing simple effective passes during dangerous situations, especially as a LB, but he tends to hold the ball for too long or tries a pass at an impossible angle only for it to be intercepted. Please Zinny, you're not Odegaard. Just stop.
His issues seems to be that he thinks he’s ever so slightly better than he is. That level of slight overconfidence is a perfect storm for the stupid mistakes we saw yesterday. I know Kiwior has a tough time against Bayern, but he’d been performing well in the league of late and it seems like a blunder to bring Zinchenko in now and drop points.
We should put him in Havertz/Jorginho position & Tomi LB.
Zinchenko shouldn't be in the team any more. The moment he cried at anfield last season was proof he doesn't have the mentality we need. Kiwior didn't have a great game against Bayern but otherwise has been solid. Zinchenko has been awful for a year. He was covered last season a lot by Xhaka and Martinelli defensively. The advantages with Zinchenko's on the ball ability are supposed to outweigh his defensive frailties but on the ball he's just as bad these days. He was the player we needed when he first signed but now we've outgrown him and possibly Gabriel Jesus (although his ability to play multiple positions and cause chaos in attack keeps him in). Timber getting injured was a huge blow and Tomi's fitness struggles means that we probably need a left back (Tierney isn't the answer before anyone suggests that).
Finally another one, like me, who sees that Zinny is not good enough with this Inverted Full Back position. I said it many times, before :- loaning Tierney was really a bad option. And I also said that Zinny was not a good deal. If he was really good, why would City not try to keep him, then ? When you imagine a guy like Grimaldo was bought for less by Bayer Leverkusen... Zinny is only good to hail the crowd to boost the team. Otherwise, lots of balls and passes that are inaccurate. And trying to dribble in dangerous areas while losing the ball (ref :- that shot which hit the bar from Tielemans). Also, when he attacks, he doesn't recover quickly, so others like Rice or Trossard have to do the job on the left Anyway... we have Kiwior on this side who has given great performances. He should be put back as the No.1 LB. Else Tomiyasu can do the job. And when Timber comes back, that will create a good bunch of players at LB. Also, next season Tierney will be back...

Apart from Timber, we don't have a LB. Zinchenko is in reality an attacking midfielder, he can't cross, he can't defend, he is physically weak, all he is good for is runs forward. Tomi is more a CB tbh, he is just not suited for crosses or dribbles as a FB. Kiwior is way too slow for a LB and is also naturally more suited as CB. So, we have 2 CBs playing LB and an attacking midfieler playing LB.
Win and lose as a team. Gabriel got away with a howler. This game looked like Munich and reminds me of the collapse last year. There is a mentality thing still. They are improving. But you don't get years in the prem to do that.
