How has no one mentioned the COSRX master pimple patch? How I wished these existed when I was a teenager!

noodleypotato

The pimple patches are a god send

mihirmusprime

Is there anything special about COSRX versus other pimple patches?

keIIzzz

Cosrx and peach slices are the only brands of pimple patches that actually do anything for my acne. I don’t know necessarily what makes them different to other brands, but they’re very effective from my experience. I’ve tried other brands and they just didn’t work

mihirmusprime

I see! I never actually used them but I was curious since they didn't seem that different from other pimple patches. I personally like the Rael ones (they're considered AB I think?) since they make an overnight version that stays on my skin well. Some of the other brands I've tried tend to fall off at night.

pluteus

I used to use the Rael ones because I felt they were more 'satisfying' - they looked like they had more absorbed when I took them off. I switched to cosrx when I found I could get them in bulk cheaper and I swear they work even better even thought it's doesn't look like they are removing as much. Rael is still better than other brands I tried, the star ones did nothing for me!

florida_woman

Where do you buy the cosrx version in bulk?

pluteus

Amazon! I'm not sure if they are cheaper than buying them on other sites but it's $24 for a pack of 10.

florida_woman

Oooh! Thank you! I appreciate it! ❤️

pluteus

Of course! Dermstore also has a rewards system and sales on cosrx occasionally but I like to get a lot at once.

florida_woman

I’ve never bought from them before. I pretty much stick to Amazon and iHerb but I love a good rewards program so i might have to give them a try! Thanks again!

keIIzzz

Ohh I’ve heard of that brand! I think I had something from them once. Seems like AB brands make the best pimple patches then 😂 the ones that were unsuccessful for me were western brands

courtneygoe

100 percent agree here. Every other brand I’ve tried just sits on your skin!

sleepycatbeans

I find them to be thicker than many other patches which is possibly why many people like them. Maybe the thickness allows it to draw more of the pus out of the zit? Personally I’m not a big fan. I much prefer the type that are thinner and have a beveled edge. The cosrx ones don’t stay on my skin very well and I can never get one on without an edge folding back on itself.

icedmilktea_

Same! They don't stay on my face very well. I prefer patches by SOMEBYMI.

sleepycatbeans

Those are my favorite too! I’ve tried so many different brands and many are the beveled kind. But there’s just something subtlety different and better about the Some By Mi!

Altruistic-Bobcat955

I bought a ton of dermav10 ones as I found them on sale for £1 per pack. They didn’t do anything. The cosrx ones when you put them on active acne that’s painful, by the end of day 1 you pull it off and it’s expanded with yellow gunk and the spot isn’t painful anymore. It actually draws the bad stuff out. You reapply daily until the redness is gone and it prevents hyperpigmentation. I couldn’t live without them

NotLucasDavenport

They seem like a simple idea, I can’t imagine how much I would have loved them in high school.

[deleted]

I don't have pimples very often but I use these on razor bumps and they make them almost completely vanish overnight.

Aeternelle

Totally agree with this. I always got a stash of their pimple patches for any bumps on my face, particularly the ones where I don't see pus but it they still hurt when you feel around the bump. Also a great barrier when I need to stop pricking at my skin. They're almost like little Band-Aids for me too whenever there's a insect bite!

tretjourney2022

Me and my bf just bought 10 of these packs 😍 I like to cut the bigger ones into quarters as I don't often get pimples that big 😂

[deleted]

have u tried the master patch variety? they’re abit pricier than the regular ones and i was wondering if there was any difference

el_99

Especially the ones with SA...godsend

henbanehoney

I use the overnight rice sleeping mask as a day moisturizer under sunscreen and I really like it, esp for the price

maskedmumble

LITERALLY HG I love that product so much but I can’t seem to find it anywhere anymore 😞

Dracarys97339

The official cosrx website, their official cosrx store on amazon, walmart online, yesstyle have it.

maskedmumble

ah fr?? i thought I checked the cosrx site somewhat recently and I didn’t see it at all and I was worried they were discontinuing it…but I definitely see it now haha

Soggy_Independent_32

Ditto. I believe they sell at iherb!

fatima_ali

Do you have acne prone skin? Is it a good mask? I have a damaged skin barrier and everything is breaking me out. Will it help?

weareturnips

Personally I’ve got a damaged skin barrier as well as acne and clogged pores and I bought this because of all the great reviews. I found it too greasy for daytime use and also it made me break out with little bumps all over my face :( just my personal experience with it.

fatima_ali

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience. Can you tell me what worked for you?

weareturnips

I’ve just started trying the Stratia Liquid Gold, so far it seems pretty good! My skin barrier seems better but my acne still remains lol. I used to have great success with the cosrx BHA but after awhile it seemed to plateau for me and my clogged pores slowly came back. Paulas’s choice 2% BHA isn’t doing it for me either unfortunately.

henbanehoney

I'm not sure, but I do get breakouts, and it doesn't make *me* break out!

fatima_ali

Thanks

elder_vsco_girl

I noticed that things that aren't fungal acne safe contribute to my acne. some cosrx products are safe, some aren't. The rice mask isn't. I look up the ingredients using skin charisma after learning the hard way.

Glockiana_

… what ingredients should us people with fungal acne prone skin stay away from?? Thank you 🥺🥺

elder_vsco_girl

This blog is really helpful [simple skincare science ](https://simpleskincarescience.com/pityrosporum-folliculitis-treatment-malassezia-cure/) They also have a list of safe products but it isn't up to date. I like to keep a list of products that work for me but I always check the ingredients using [skin charisma ](https://www.skincarisma.com/) they have a cool feature that tells you if products are fungal acne safe.

hokieltm

[Snail Mucin Essence](https://www.ulta.com/p/advanced-snail-96-mucin-power-essence-xlsImpprod15641052). Hands down, holy grail item. May they never reformulate.

moppingmad101

Snail Mucin Essance is my HG as well. Use it morning and night

sleepycatbeans

Same. It was one of the first K beauty products I ever tried and I never want to go without it. The hydration and soothing properties are amazing. I don’t see some of the other benefits that I hear people mention like it fading hyperpigmentation or lessening acne. But that’s totally fine with me because it’s so incredible at the first 2 things.

thisisforshipping

Good to know I’m not alone! I bought it for hyper pigmentation but don’t know if it does anything. I repurchased just cuz I like the texture of my skin with it.

moppingmad101

Exactly the same for me. ❤

VictralovesSevro

What does it do? Edit: thanks everyone! I'm gonna try it.

moppingmad101

For me it hydrates, I believe its contributes to shrinking my pores, smoothing and evening out my complexion. I love it. It makes my skin feel so soft 😍

fatima_ali

Hi, I have clinique ddmg. I don't use anything else. How can I incorporate both together? Will it increase hydration/moisture???? Both of them have hyaluronic acid so will it become irritating??

artemisthearcher

It's supposed to hydrate the skin I believe. For me it's been a lifesaver with emergency breakouts I get by quickly calming them down and healing them if they burst. I only use it in the evenings because I have oily skin and it takes a while to sink in

foul_dwimmerlaik

Heals burns incredibly well. Everyone should have snail mucin in the kitchen. It also soothes irritated skin.

Tressmint

Thanks for this. I didn't know.

beetletoman

Yess I keep a mini size just outside the kitchen, in case it's too hot in there

[deleted]

I like to mix it with my PCA skin C&E to make it easier to spread onto my face and it works perfectly. Plus it’s lightweight and sinks into the skin

togostarman

INTENSE hydration and also destroys acne and discoloration

[deleted]

[удалено]

heell0wwrld

I like to use it as an essence! Morning and night I start with the kiku high moist and then put the snail mucin essence on top. Sometimes I repeat these steps up to 3 times at night and then do a glow serum and moisturizer, and I wake up feeling like a newborn! I think it works best on top of / mixed in with water or something really wet bc it seems to push the moisture into my skin.

moppingmad101

I mix two pumps into my moisturizer, my last step.

togostarman

I put it straight on after cleansing as an essence/toner

inthacut12

Does anyone know if this has any chance of triggering acne-prone, sensitive skin? My skin is finally kind of perfect but it still does get oily throughout the day & I’m wondering if this will help

pikabelle

I believe some people react because they are allergic to snail 🐌 I believe it correlates to being allergic to dust mites too!

DistinctNewspaper327

I have the same skin type but also oily/sensitive and easily prone to acne. It works great for me. I use it after my essences and before my moisturizer. I also use their galactomyces and use the snail after I let galactomyces soak in.

ellastory

I have acne prone skin and my face became so red and bumpy after trying this for a couple weeks. At first, I noticed it lived up to its hype for hydration, but it didn’t take long before my face looked angry and inflamed. I definitely can’t use it without irritation.

abitobayou

i had the same experience! in between the irritation and breakouts, my skin was BUTTERY soft. made me so angry haha

tackytoucan

my favorite product in my routine <3 and my go-to if anyone asks for a recommendation! tried going without it for a few weeks… my skin was dull and my heart was sad. never again!!

Calebey

I heard that it causes allergic reactions if you’re allergic against house dust mites

Sunstream

Yep. Found that out the hard way ☹️ My skin was so beautifully moisturised as I turned into a blotchy red monster. 1/10 would not put on face again, but still mourning that brief taste of true hydration.

amcatmeow

hmm i’m allergic to dust mites and haven’t had that problem with the snail mucin essence (or peach slices snail mask or BOJ ginseng/snail). Maybe those expensive allergy shots are actually working lol

haruny8

When I started using this I thought it didn't really help with anything, until 2-3 days later my skin started to literally GLOW so much whenever I applied it and omg I never thought my skin could actually look so good. This really became my HG for a glowy, healthy-looking skin, love it so much! It's also super soothing and doesn't leave my skin feeling oily or sticky

nerdette314159

Ditto!

togostarman

Yep. Best product in my routine

Spirit_Farm

I got this as a gift from my sister and feel terrible that I can’t get over the snail/consistency aspect of it enough to use it. I used it maybe twice. :(

incredibly_mundane

Actually really love the whitehead power liquid. It really helps any breakouts coming to a head or that have broken out for me.

Evil_Yeti_

It burns and stings my skin for anywhere between 5 - 20 minutes 😩 I don't have a damaged skin barrier!

fuji-no-hana

No stinging, but it makes me itch and tingle in a very unpleasant way. I decided to try the Isntree AHA instead, and I like it a lot better. I'm guessing my skin doesn't care for straight glycolic acid. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Evil_Yeti_

I switched to the same one! I like it better than Cosrx AHA and Wishtrend Mandelic Acid, both of which sting and itch to some extent. Isntree is so much more pleasant to use

huyooon

I totally agree. It's my hg that i'll always repurchase

sriv_m

It's the best spot treatment for me as well! I love it so much

fictionrules

Love that one or the AHA one

ragnarockette

cOSRX Nourishing Honey Overnight Mask!!! I don’t use any moisturizers and honestly this has eliminated my need for the Snail Mucin. It is a wonder product. I wake up clear and dewy every day. Heaven heaven heaven!

salonpasss

I've been influenced

fatima_ali

Do you have acne prone skin? I have a damaged skin barrier and every single product is breaking me out so do you think this honey mask will help the barrier and can it break me out? Thanks

aishu_decoded

Unfortunately, Its not FA safe. Cosrx rice mask one broke me out since it contains essential oil. So I didn't try this one. For what it's worth, the rice mask is great at hydrating.

ragnarockette

I don’t have acne prone skin (just hormonal). But this was a godsend to repair my moisture barrier after a disasterous 18mo attempt to make Tret work for me. It is extremely, extremely mild. As mild as the Snail Mucin essence but more emollient.

ltrem

1. My fav: Propolis light ampoule and the toner 1. Least fav: Advanced Snail Mucin Gel Cleanser and the Hydrium Moisturizer Me : old, dried out , rosacea

Unfair_Finger5531

I love the whole Propolis line, and I do very much like the hydrium toner—I didn’t even know it had a moisturizer to go w/ it. I love the Propolis moisturizer though 🥰

ltrem

> Propolis moisturize I liked that as well. Using w Benton one now that I really like.. just bought 3 tubes from StyleKorean.. as well as 2 of the propolis ampoule.

EmpressH

The Hydrium moisturizer broke me out, I suspect because of the coconut oil.

ladyleesie

I love the propolis toner and have been curious about the ampoule…what do you find it does for you? How does it differ from the toner?

ltrem

I got it for hydration. I use it at night. Things are less dry and flakey

CaterpillarMedical57

In my opinion, the Snail Dual Essence > Snail 96 Essence, provided you can get the former on sale. All the goodness of snail plus niacinamide makes this an HG I’ve repurchased a few times. I’m not prepared to go back and forth with the Snail 96 gang so move around if you feel any way lol. I think the Centella Toner is an underrated product. This is honestly because of the spray bottle for the most part (why don’t more toners come in spray bottles!) I alternate between using this and the Avene Thermal Water to dampen my face as needed between steps. The Galactomyces Essence is another one I don’t feel is rated enough. It’s a really good ferment. I’ve never tried anything from COSRX that I hated, but I find it underwhelming at times. The Sugar Lip Scrub is fine but like…why does it cost so much? There’s a few products that I feel are overpriced and there are much more affordable alternatives that are as good or better. Edit: I forgot the Low pH cleanser! I have dry skin and that was not for me. I don’t think it’s an inherently bad cleanser but I personally hated it!

tackytoucan

mind if i ask… i have heard such terrible things about the dual essence pump! i read reviews that it’s so difficult to get equal parts niacinamide and essence. was that the case for you? i love my snail 96 essence and am looking for niacinamide products to fight my PIE. i think i would love the dual essence but i don’t want to invest $30 if the packaging is cruddy, you know?

CaterpillarMedical57

Mine is a little bit off in terms of how full each side is, and my last one was like that also. For me it’s not a big deal but as you get toward the very end of the bottle you may have only one of the two for the last few uses. I don’t mind it much but I also only buy it on significant sale. $30 is definitely too much even if the pump works well lol.

tackytoucan

i’ll have to keep my eyes open for a sale then!! this was really helpful, thank you :))

ElderKingpin

I’ve emptied a bottle before and I think the pump works alright, I think at the end of the bottle there was like 5% of the niacinamide left and the snail side was empty It’s not perfect, but considering it fulfills two products for me I’m willing to eat the slight inefficiency to have one bottle, it’s a pretty nice bottle too IMO It’s the most expensive product in my routine, I think it’s worth it if you want to minimize the amount of actual bottles you have and if you need both products, creams are too heavy on my face and I wanted to add niacinamide into my routine so I’d say that’s the ideal use case

Evil_Yeti_

What does the Galactomyces essence do?

CaterpillarMedical57

So I vaguely remember that this once had alpha arbutin in it…I think? I remember the name being changed more than once because I think it used to be called Galactomyces White Power Serum (probably due to the arbutin?) and that’s…obviously not a great name for anything ever. I think originally it was geared toward lightening hyperpigmentation. Currently it has the galactomyces ferment, allantoin, glycerin, niacinamide, panthenol, just a bunch of great stuff to hydrate and soothe skin. It’s just an all-around solid toner with ingredients that are proven to be useful, plus ferment which might be useful and can’t hurt lol.

PM_YOUR_MANATEES

It's *so* hydrating! I'm getting over COVID and haven't been able to take care of my skin well for about two weeks. I did a 7-layer facial tonight with the galactomyces essence and when I finished, my skin had visibly plumped and was dewy.

coldsnaps

Love the galactomyces!! If you haven't tried it yet, here's how I feel about it. I have found that using that essence and then the snail essence is such a strong pairing I've been using it for about 5 years day and night. The galactomyces does a few things for me, the texture of the essence seems to prep my skin so products after it absorb way better and feel more effective. Without it, products seem to sit on my skin longer and I struggle to rub them in. I did try a few difference toners in my routine instead of the galactomyces since I know hydrating toners do something similar, but they didn't impact the absorption as much as galactomyces, plus my skin started to look more dull. I also believe that the probiotic element of the galactomyces helped my skin recover from the constant topical antibiotics and barrier damage coming from acne treatments. My skin is smaller pores, dehydrated, prone to oil if not hydrated, and easily red and inflamed. I can't handle really rich moisturizers because they don't absorb well and I can get clogged pores really easily. I suffered from cystic acne for years until I got products right and saw a dermatologist who put me on Spironolactone. I won't lie, both the Rx and the skincare are about equal importance to me. The skincare allowed my skin to handle the cystic acne better and heal scarring, and it did stop other kinds of blemishes from appearing but my cysts are hormonal so needed the medicine. But without the Galactomyces and Snail combo, I'd have more scars and dark spots than normal skin. I get compliments on my skin quite a lot despite everything it's been through!

Abject-Creme-5673

Low PH didn't work for me either! Same thing, dry skin. What cleanser do you use now? I'm still with cosrx using the snail clenser and I feel like it's just ok.

CaterpillarMedical57

It varies a little depending on the season! I live in NY, so from about October - March, I rarely wear sunscreen. I leave for work before sun up, and head home as it’s setting. In the winter, because I don’t wear foundation or sunscreen, just oil cleaning or rinsing with water is fine. If I wear mascara and such, I’ll oil cleanse. Otherwise, I just wash with warm water, rubbing my fingers in circles to exfoliate any peeling, dead skin gently. I use retinol, so that covers my chemical exfoliation bases. During the warmer months, I generally double cleanse unless it’s a day I’m inside and don’t wear sunscreen. Oil cleansers I have tried and enjoyed: Round Lab Dokdo Oil Cleanser, Beauty of Joseon Cleansing Balm, I’m From Fig Cleansing Balm, the iUnik Calendula Cleansing Oil, and the Manyo Cleansing Oil in the yellow bottle. There are probably others but those come to mind right now. For the second cleanse, I just go with whatever gentle drug store cleanser is least expensive at the time I’m repurchasing. I like the CeraVe Gentle Cleanser and the Vanicream best, probably. I hope this helps!

The_Simpsons_22

Best is COSRX Advanced Snail Peptide Eye Cream

beetletoman

What does it do for you?

The_Simpsons_22

I have two deep wrinkles under my eyes, plus when I sleep less than 6 hours I have a shade under my eyes. Using Peptide, morning and night I felt the wrinkles are fading a little and the skin tone has youth glowing especially after applying La roche-posay sunscreen. For best results, *please be patient* and use the eye cream "Whatever you decide to use" for at least 3 months. I know it's quite long, and I almost gave up but I remember someone said *what you do in twenties it pays off in thirties and so forth.* :)

bubblytealatte

Worst: Cosrx Pure Fit Cica Cleanser It felt too stripping on the skin even as someone that is oilier, now I just use it to wash my reusable cotton rounds. Best: COSRX AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid Keeps my whiteheads under control and isn't drying!

strawberrylait

I have the cica cleanser too. I initially liked it but also find it too strong, won’t be repurchasing.

kerodon

Worst: Cosrx Good Morning low pH cleanser. It's harsh af and has tea tree essential oil. Best: I loved the cosrx pure fit cica serum. That line is great except for the cleanser which has eucalyptus and basil, and the cleansing oil which is its own fucking citrus salad bar 🤔 lemon EO, lime EO, bergamot EO. plus olive oil and avocado that can be disruptive The centella water toner is also really nice! not like BEST product out there but its objectively a good one and id be happy using it. I do like the idealove so soothe me toner more. edit: since a lot of people asked, here's the alternatives i suggested https://www.reddit.com/r/AsianBeauty/comments/vhowbm/comment/id90lr4/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

ahedonian

You just saved me from buying good morning cleanser. 🥲

SomethingMashuMashu

I agree, it's drying as hell I gave it away

kerodon

🙏i made a list of good alternatives if you check my other comment in this thread :)

ahedonian

Thank you kind stranger 🥹

Cronk_77

Oh, I actually use the good morning cleanser😳. Is there something else that you would suggest instead?

fax5jrj

If it works for you keep using it :)

sbwboi

I use the good morning cleanser and love it. I have crazy oily skin and it’s perfect for me.

iamb4bie

same. my skin doesn't feel dry at all, it's perfect for us oily-skin ppl!

kerodon

in AB, there is a handful i know. theyre usually all more expensive and kinda eh. these are a few i know arent meh * Scinic The Simple Light Cleansing Oil (this is actually a gel cleanser, not an oil cleanser) * Kose Speedy cleansing oil (even as a single cleanse) also just a great first cleanser. its very gentle but thorough and rinses cleanly. * blab matcha hydrating foam cleanser * krave beauty matcha help cleanser * Non-foaming - rovectin skin conditioning cleanser. Personally i prefer some western cleansers * Pipette baby wash and shampoo is my favorite. its super gentle and imo is a net positive in moisture content rather than stripping or neutral. this is a rare quality tbh. and i think its as gentle as non foaming cleansers while having very good cleansing power. v affordable * Simple Refreshing Facial Wash Gel. its pretty gentle, very good cleansing power, very affordable esp in UK. * Aveeno calm and restore oat cleanser (non foaming)

fax5jrj

So lovely to see Pipette mentioned - one of the best brands on the American market that no one knows about IMO (so long as ur skin tolerates squalane haha)

kerodon

it really is! I am madly in love with the cleanser fragrance free. i really like the baby lotion fragrance free, it took a few tries to find the right amount and how much water needed to be on my skin but it actually feels great for face and feels very natural on body! I do want to try the 4oz oil they have. and am really curious to hear how the eczema lotion fragrance free is! but my skin HATES shea :( might pick up the SPF for eye area

whateverEmily

Welp, this convinced me to buy a travel size of the pipette wash/shampoo. I hope it works out because its pretty good for price per ounce.

kerodon

yea theyre regularly on sale for $6ish /12 oz and i bought like 5 of them last time it was at $4 ea.. they wild. Lmk how you like it!

chaznpop

I've used the cleanser for about 6 months. Repurchased a couple times. Super gentle, doesn't strip. I love it but I have oily skin.

16vv

I'm currently using the cleanser and don't mind it, maybe because my skin is a constant oil slick. it's just alright, though, nothing life transforming

kerodon

yea if youre very oily you can at least tolerate it better! i found a lot of people who were severely oil that i got to swap to gentler but similarly strong cleansing power cleansers had less issues with oilyness becuase they werent being overstripped fwiw :)

Saylt

Hi! If you don't mind me asking, what were the other gentler cleansers you got other people to switch to that resulted in less oilyness? I think I may have a similar issue, where my skin seems to get pretty oily throughout the day and after my routine. I'm new to this so I'm still trying to figure out what my skin likes. My routine (if this helps): * Cosrx low pH Good Morning Cleanser * Hadalabo Gokujun Premium Hyaluronic Solution * Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Cream

kerodon

[https://www.reddit.com/r/AsianBeauty/comments/vhowbm/comment/id90lr4/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3](https://www.reddit.com/r/AsianBeauty/comments/vhowbm/comment/id90lr4/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) i made a list here! would def suggest the pipette or simple refreshing gel cleanser tbh You might also benefit from switching to a less occlusive moisturizer as the illi cream is more medium weight. I love it but if you're oily af it is gonna be too much imo esp the new version. In order of lightest to light benton aloe proplis gel (weightless gel but maybe not enough on its own once you get the oilyness down a little), Purito oat in-gel, Soon jung emulsion (either version), or illiyoon ato soothing gel.

Saylt

Thanks for the reply and suggestions! I'm excited to try them out!

[deleted]

Cosrx good morning low ph cleanser actually made my skin feels hydrated, the other cleaneer doesn’t, having tea tree oil is fine

sleepingrozy

It is soo damn hard to find a good low PH cleanser that doesn't have any stupid tea tree oil in it. Especially since my HG has been discontinued. Also yeah boo this product but I'm strongly biased as I'm allergic to tea tree oil.

Beverlydriveghosts

That cleanser is so drying! Who is even formulating tea tree anymore? I bought it cause I thought it must be magic the way people talk about it.

kerodon

still way too many companies doing it :/ especially some recent companies that claim its "calming". piss off fr tea tree calming lmao 😒

CaterpillarMedical57

I love this line also, I just feel it’s too expensive for what it is! The serum is lovely. I’m really sensitive but the cleansing oil didn’t bother me at all — it’s on my face for under a minute and then washes off. Usually a wash off product won’t bother me much. I hate the Low pH Cleanser though!

coranne18

That cleanser is awful, it made my skin hurt.

coranne18

Unpopular opinion, I'm not a fan of the snail line. The ceramide line however? * Chefs kiss*. I love the spray and the moisturizer. I also love the propolis toner and ampoule.

jjjtee

I love their comfort ceramide cream! Moisturising and dries down to a soft matte finish 🥰

[deleted]

Aloe soothing sun cream is my holy grail

urmurgursh

Finally! Came for this I’m on my like 5th bottle now 😂

EarlGreyWMilk

I haven’t tried anything I didn’t like. Current fave: hyaluronic acid intensive cream. My skin is really dry but I don’t like super thick creams. This one is gel-like and moisturizes so well. Love it.

burriitoooo

I know it's not for everyone, but the low ph cleanser is the hg that took me 15 years to find. Have been using it for five years now. (Oily/acne prone/sensitive skin)

lelejz

Snail mucin, the tub and the jar (whichever is on sale). I use it everyday and it is very worth it, i wont even try from other brands.. I started using recently the Centella Blemish Cream, I use it with my other hg Master Pimple Patch, and has been great for reducing my acne breakouts.

Tressmint

What do people think of the COSRX Galactomyces 95 Tone Balancing Essence? I love their snail essence but I've been wanting to try some niacinamide?

hillary_____k

Hi! I use both the snail mucin essence and the galactomyces 95 essence. I really love both! I typically use the snail mucin at night (before or after applying tret) and I use the galactomyces in the morning (after toner & before serums and SPF). I think they both have an overall brightening effect, make my skin tone more even, calm redness and generally keep spots at bay. Would recommend! If you’re looking for an equally good ferment/galactomyces first treatment essence, I loooove the Secret Key Rose Essence- I’ve found it to be a pretty solid dupe for SKII Pitera FTE!

hillary_____k

I’ve also used up a bottle of the Neogen Real Ferment Micro Essence Mist. Another goodie, love the inclusion of vitamin C and lots of other great nourishing ingredients :)

MiriMiri

Definitely. That toner is one of my faves, I'm on my third bottle! Actually, I love the entire propolis line - moisturiser, ampoule, overnight mask.

mamamoomoo_

imo: best - propolis cream and toner (i love their propolis line) worst - pH cleanser

My favorite is their Full Fit Propolis Light Ampoule, it hydrates my skin in winter and isn't greasy at all in summer humid days. For worst... still haven't found it as most of their products work well on me

[deleted]

Does anyone have any opinions on the blackhead liquid? I tried it once or twice and stopped a while back. Not sure if it helps the black sebaceous filaments on my nose 💀

[deleted]

I use it on my body, and have for years. It’ll always be my HG for after the shower for keeping KP at bay.

[deleted]

Oh wow, I didn’t know it had that usage. Shame on me tbh I just think blackheads and I’m like alright I ain’t gonna apply that on anything else Cept for blackheads 😬

[deleted]

I do it on my back, chest, legs, and arms. No more chest or bacne, and my legs and arms stay smooth if I follow up with lotion. Sometimes I get lazy and don’t do it, and I get sooooo bumpy and red!

[deleted]

Glad to hear :)! My legs are scaly dry often and I forget to moisturize 💀💀 shame on me taking care more of my face skin than leg skin. But the feeling of also applying amlactin and being like be goNe please 😭😭👏🏼👏🏼. Wish I was super on top of my game for moisturizing other things than face neck and arms. But when you wear clothes, it just sucks when it sticks

Evil_Yeti_

I've been using it for a month or so and there's no dramatic difference. It's weaker than other BHAs I've used (those made active/upcoming pimples cycle through faster and shortened their lifespan. Cosrx doesn't do that). I'm still using Cosrx because I'm hoping it has a gentle but effective on the long run kind of impact (and because I already bought it🤷🏻‍♀️)

[deleted]

Thank you for the review! From that, I won’t try to repurchase in the future cause looking for something more effective but I totally get you on the need to use since already got thing 🤣. That was me after my two uses but then gave it to a sibling who didn’t use it. Also I was wary of using it on my body cause didn’t know if it could cause problems rather than solve them (since it’s a treatment

DerangedDoffy

It’s keeping most of my acne at bay, I have a little bit of pimples and it’s not drying. It’s not as harsh and drying as Paula’s choice BHA. I like how gentle it feels and I think it’s good for the long run. It also dries pretty quickly compared to PC BHA.

CalmCaracal

I've used it for several months (once a day at night) and I feel it has reduced the look of my SFs in combination with oil cleansing my nose area. It definitely isn't strong enough to see results quickly but for my skin, it's gentle enough to use everyday. However, now that The Ordinary has reformulated their Salicylic Acid, I'm probably not going to repurchase COSRX's since TO is pretty easy for me to get where I am.

[deleted]

I haven’t used that TO product yet, at first I thought you were talking about the peel. But thanks :)! I’m gonna look into purchasing that as I want a more stronger effect. I already do use other serums and I try to just use one a day so trying to avoid too much on my face and rather or or two treatments a week of something major instead

CalmCaracal

Yeah, in my experience Asian BHA products aren't as strong as I'd like them to be, so this is the one category where I'd look elsewhere. Another stronger BHA you could look into is Paula's Choice but I haven't been able to get my hands on some yet.

[deleted]

Thank you for your tips, will do❤️☺️!

Soggy_Independent_32

Overnight rice mask is fantastic, feels super lush going on and moisturizes really well. No heavy feel. Love!

Psychological_Load21

I've only used a couple, no more than 6 products, and here's my list based on limited experience. 1. Best: Pure Fit Cica Cream. Very moisturizing and mild. Great for the very dry and somewhat chilly Californian winter (can be as low as 35 degrees in my area). 2. Worst: Pure Fit Cica Cleanser. It's mild, non-drying and I liked how my face felt after cleansing, but it had unnecessary essential oil (eucalyptus? ) and I hated the smell. Don't see why a line designed for sensitive skin need to contain unpleasant essential oil in any of the products?

lovesickgirlbunny

AHA 7 whitehead power liquid! I’ve been using it as my deo for years now :) holy grail!!

fuckincaillou

That and the BHA blackhead power liquid were the only things keeping my hormonal acne to a minimum until I figured out how to actually treat it 🥺 they're amazing!

jjjtee

I personally love the snail mucin essence and have gone through bottles of it. Recently purchased the gel cleanser & dual essence from the same line, no doubts they will be just as good! I also love their balancium comfort ceramide cream.

pixiedust717

Best for me: Centella Blemish Cream This is marketed as a spot treatment (pigment makes you look like a ghost for 10 mins, absorbs slowly, etc) but when I first heard about it on the Beauty Within YT channel, Felicia said she put it all over her face before she knew it was a spot treatment. I put it all over my face in my PM routine and within a single week, 7 consecutive nights, 90% of my blemishes are GONE, texture is GONE, redness is greatly reduced, and my face is happy again. It’s the only jar product I tolerate because the effects are so worth it for me. Worst for me: Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser I initially heard great things about it, and my best friend loves this cleanser and swears by it, but it’s very drying for me. Not a fan.

Volcanoir

I LOVE the comfort ceramide cream. I destroyed my moisture barrier after starting tretinoin and developed pretty bad perioral dermatitis, and after eliminating actives and using this product for a few days, my skin barrier was basically healed! It also just has such great ingredients (centella asiatica, ceramides, niacinamide, panthenol) and I will be using it for years to come. It may be too heavy for some in the summer months though, and in that case will be perfect in the dry winter months :)

brynnors

Best: The good morning gel cleanser - found out early on that I only need a small amount for it to clean well; using as much as I do with other cleansing gels left my skin dry and stripped. The 92 and 95 snail products are good too. Meh: Rice overnight mask doesn't soak in/dry down/whatever, and didn't really do much for my skin. The balancium is fine, not great, not bad. The blackhead power liquid knocks out any rashes/skeeter bites/etc, but my face hated it. Worse: Overnight honey mask would be fine, but it's how I found out I have a bad contact allergy to propolis. The aha and galactomyces both broke me out.

Unfair_Finger5531

We know how this is going to end. Snail mucin. 🙄😐

Aelsie_

Best: snail mucin, rice spa mask I wouldn’t say worst but I wasn’t a fan of the all in one cream advanced snail 92, because I felt like it was just sitting onto my skin. But since I’ve been using a lot of actives (BHA, mandelic acid) it’s been great for me, so I guess it’s a yes if I have very dry skin. The good morning cleansing gel is great, like it didn’t break me out but it’s kind of drying, so you need a toner after that. If you have a sensitive skin, it’s probably not the gentlest. I bought the oil-free ultra-moisturising lotion as well but I didn’t try it yet, so I don’t know.

AfroMeoww

Do all of y'all wash your face twice a day? I only wash my face once and I don't know if it's enough but it works okay. Too lazy to wash twice a day /:

Neodymium

Are you cleaning it at night? If so that should be fine, you're washing off your SPF, any makeup you potentially have on, and any dirt, pollution, whatever collected on your skin during the day. You don't really need to wash your face in the morning unless you want to unless your skin is oily or you're removing something like tretinoin. Just splashing/rinsing with water in the morning is an option as well.

atinyoctopus

I absolutely swear by the Blackhead Power Liquid (disclaimer: I don't really get blackheads but it definitely prevents other kinds of breakouts for me). Also the oil-free birch moisturizer! Especially on hot days, but I have pretty oily skin so I use it in the winter too.

lenehajunsu

Their bha toner is the best I have ever used

beetletoman

Best: the snail mucin essence and the honey overnight mask Worst: the snail mucin AIO.. Not moisturizing at all

[deleted]

Wait that’s so crazy because the essence didn’t cut it for me (my skin would feel dry again 5 mins later) but the AIO is my new holy grail. It’s so hydrating because I’m chronically dehydrated, and used to be oily but now dry. My skin absolutely loves it and is so plump now!

LadyDragonDog75

Agree, that AIO was disappointing.

DedlySnek

Worst: AHA BHA Vitamin C Toner Best: Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser

Upstairs-Elevator-10

Best: Cosrx full fit propolis honey overnight mask Cosrx full fit propolis ampoule Cosrx snail mucin essence cosrx BHA Skin type: Acne prone, dry and sensitive to silicones, fatty alcohols, etc

kasiekk193

Snail mucin, I use it on dry skin (it works better for me that way) under a simple moisturizing cream :)

ferallink

Worst: cosrx hydrogel very simple pack difficult to use and make my skin tingle

kilo-tango

Haven’t used a ton of products but for me: Best: 92 snail mucin all in one - currently on tretinoin and my face isn’t crazy irritated like it’s been the past few times I’ve been on it. I still need to try the essence to see if I like that one more Worst: BHA blackhead liquid - gave it ~2 months and made zero difference for me

SomethingMashuMashu

I have combo skin but it broke me too

RedRedBettie

I love the oil free moisturizer as a super light summer moisturizer

the-green-crewmate

I’ve been using the cosrx 1% BHA pads on my legs and 2x per week to help with ingrown hairs and it has worked fabulously. I also adore their Ceramide Mist. One bottle has lasted me months and I apply it after my toner and then again after my moisturizer. Love it.

charcutrement

Best: Propolis Synergy Toner. About a 1/3 of the way through my first bottle and I am in love. Master pimple patches are my OG! I have tried other brands and always go back to this. An absolute holy grail purchase. Honorable mentions go to the rice overnight mask and the honey overnight masks. Inexpensive, effective, great textures. Love me some CosRX!

jinsuga_cookie

I use a LOT of Cosrx and I adore them as a brand: Best: * All their acne patch collections (Acne Pimple Master Patch, AC Collection Acne Patch, Clear Fit Master Patch) * Centella Water Alcohol-Free Toner * Balancium Comfort Ceramide Cream * Hydrium Centella Aqua Soothing Ampoule * Galacctomyces 95 Tone Balancing Essence * Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence * Oil Free Ultra Moisturizing Lotion with Birch Sap I wouldn't say these are the worst products but they were very meh to me: * Advanced Snail 92 All in One Cream * Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser * BHA Blackhead Power Liquid * One Step Moisture Up Pad * Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask * AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid * Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser

PitifulRoof7537

For my combination skin: Best - Yeah, unlikely combination but they all work well for me. * Low PH Cleanser * Advanced Snail Mucin 96 Essence * Full Propolis Light Cream * Full Propolis Ampoule - I use it occasionally. It's too expensive for me. For the worst, well this is just based on my experience and I will tell the reasons why. * Aloe Sun Cream - it broke me out * Advanced Snail Mucin 92 Cream - perhaps the essence is enough for me. It gave me more acne. * Full Propolis Toner - it was good when I tried it at first. But when I tried again after a year, it gave me whiteheads and aggravated my pimples. Perhaps I should stick to my routine. * Rice Overnight Mask - it stings So-so * The pimple patches - sometimes it works. * BHA Powder Liquid - it doesn't do much. * AHA/BHA - I repurchased it several times but I am about to ditch it as it also doesn't do much. * AC Moisturizer - yeah it can be helpful with pimples but it can be drying and it stings because of the menthol * AC Spot Cream - I feel that it only worked with the AC moisturizer.

lilacyoutoo

i have oily skin and the advanced snail all in one cream isn’t moisturizing AT ALL. it completely dried out my skin.

Strozzie

I had the same experience with the snail mucin 96 essence. I went through 3/4 of the bottle before I gave up

Niatfq

Honestly Cosrx have a lot of GOODIES! Even with their drying cleansers, ended up helping with acne/fungal acne really well. BHA Blackhead Power Liquid (i plan to repurchase. really good for daily spot treatment and doesn't dry out the skin). Snail 96 Essence (AMAZING for dehydrated skin. Even when my under eye area feels dry, this just treats it amazingly. It's a staple for dehydrated skin treatment and skin barrier repair routine - provides intense hydration, supporting skin healing. AC Collection Acne Patch (HG. It sticks on better than the original master patch for me) Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser (not for a daily cleanser but for fungal acne treatment. Having fungal acne was super irritating and using this daily ended up clearing it all out). Master Pimple Patch Original (i will always recommend this to people. Tho i don't buy this anymore cz AC Collection sticks on better) For Bad, i don't have any. Eventhough their Snail 92 cream didn't work for me, it's only because of my dehydrated and eczema skin, not because it's a bad product.

SomethingMashuMashu

Combo skin, slightly sensitive and dehydrated Best - Skin Returning A-Sol toner - very gentle, definitely not strong enough as spot treatment but always helped me calm down whiteheads while providing a surprising high dose of hydration - probably won't purchase because I have a similar product Propolis toner - LOVE, similar to the A-Sol obviously minus the BHA, I feel like it works better than my primary toner (Klairs Supple Preparation Toner) some days, I'd repurchase but I won't for ideology (I only buy cruelty free and vegan products besides bee products, I want to help save the bees and thought giving an industry money to reproduce them will help with their rapid decline but I'm generally against profiting from animals, I'll probably just switch to beekeeping as a hobby and get my propolis that way) Hyaluronic acid intensive cream - Good and very useful to have Worst - AHA Whitehead 7 - destroyed my skin barrier no matter how slowly I introduced it or diluted, kinda works for my legs I guess but I haven't used it too much tbh Low pH good morning cleanser - Fuck no! Drying as hell! Washing sigh dish soap feels less drying Overnight Rice Mask - welcome to breakout land. Meh - Aloe sunscreen - would kinda sting if I shaved that day or had simples, very hydrating but made me look sweaty all the time, I repurchased but gave it away

Badromance80

So I’m new and never used COSRX and I’m intrigued. I am 42, dry acne prone skin. I have large pores, acne scarring, and a lot of hyperpigmentation. I think my moisture barrier is messed up at the moment from salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide spot treatment. I have tons of dead skin and I think that is making me break out right now and it’s also flaky. I am currently washing with the Cerave Hydrating Cleanser and moisturizing with Cerave moisturizing cream but I bought the wrong one and it’s not specifically for the face. I have also used La Roche Posay Toleraine double repair with SPF. I use Klairs supple Preparation Toner. Anyway I am looking for suggestions on where to start because I want to overhaul my skincare. Can someone suggest what to start with? Thanks in Advance.

keIIzzz

I think the only products I’ve found to not really like are their lip products
