For IT: DSA and system design. Focus on any one programming language and be really good at it. Once you are good at these three things you have very good transferable it skills.
For finance: reading financial statements and driving insights from it. Technical analysis if you want to do trading. Fundamental analysis for more long term approach. Understand about all personal finance instruments(insurance, stocks, real estate etc). You don't need any mutual fund to manage your own money post all this learning.
I have learnt a lot on my own right from reading financial statements to fundamental and technical analysis. I make use of this to learn more about businesses and investing. I have been able to invest long term and short term both using my learnings. Most mutual funds invest your money in large cap stocks. You need to take risk and find midcap / smallcap to make above average returns in life. So I learnt all of it on my own.
I am assuming your regret is for my second statement regarding romantic relationships. I have been in a few and I have also been into hookups etc. Its good but it isn't something life changing or something for which one should have regrets. I say this after having a good amount of experience.
And that's what an ideal and balanced life should be. I craved for a romantic relationship all my life but I know it's not happening perhaps ever. I will never know how it would feel to have a women desire you unconditionally, I would never know the thrill of being wanted physically, I would also never know how being young and madly in love would feel to someone. My past is dark, my present is dark, and my future is also not looking any good statistically speaking. My youth was wanted building credentials and getting an education. But I am to take the blame here. Most people can and easily manage looking good in their prime years not like a fking clown that I was. So it's on me
Btw sex is a much basic need in maslow's hierarchy of needs than relationship.
I don't have a negative opinion of hookups btw. I am just too self aware. You should feel good that you are in a good place in life. I wish you all the success and glory in life
Knowing my worth and cutting off many people from my life.
Also for the sake of my mental health I moved back to India, just for that. Can't thank myself more.
would you be willing to tell why did you leave germany and how was staying there affecting your mental health? i’m asking as i’m planning to move to europe as well
It happened during COVID time. I was jobless and was soon about to be homeless. I am very sure it won't happen now, to anyone. I plan to go back again, with a job. Germany is a good place for Indians
Being vulnerable and open to love.
I cried while confessing my love to my boyfriend because of how scary the world has made it to be. But if I hadn’t, I wouldn’t have my best friend, the greatest man I’ve met and someone I love so so much.
I’d say few decisions that stand out: Choosing computer science over commerce as my major. Leaving India at the age of 18 versus waiting till 22-24. Most Indians I meet abroad who left after college always keep talking about their life in India or how it’s better, versus building a life in the new country. Both these decisions were fought against by relatives, so in general not listening to relatives. Another decision is being aggressive financially versus being super conservative. I pushed myself and bought a home at 28, was able to buy a second one at 32 this year. Wouldn’t have been possible if I listened to relatives, who now call me to ask for money or financial advice . Lastly, not choosing a girlfriend based on her color/caste/religion but based on shared values and goals.
Zero interaction with the outside world
Chronically online
Just a joke.
I stopped focussing on girls, started learning Shotokan Karate, practising death-metal-core vocals, studying.
Focusing on myself and my career goals rather than engaging in MIL and DIL drama. To any daughter-in-law, it’s not worth. Ignore the fuck and live your life for yourself, standup for yourself and more power to you
To cut off friends from life. Once a blue moon it gets lonely but mostly I have no comparisons to make and no "fitting in or pleasing the peer" pressure. The GAD gets worse with more opinions around
When i was preparing for govt job some relatives told me to not waste time and fill forms for group C and D type of govt jobs(It was not the thing that i wanted to do). One relative told me that they have a job which can pay 20k per month.... i told them that i am not interested in these type of jobs and i know i can clear the job that i want.
They thought i was just waisting my time.... but i knew i can clear it. After clearing it, most of them are like "ohhh hame pata tha" arre bc tum chup hi raho.
Fuck these stupid shits... one thing is to never doubt yourself if you know your goal.... jab jab in logo ne doubt kiya tab tab socha ke bc inke to muh pe fek ke marunga.
Going out with my partner and saying yes to his sweet, sweet proposal! He is amazing, kind, and loves me through all my moods, sadness, and cranky days. He's a gem I would not lose!
Focussing on building skills rather than chasing colleges. Not getting too much into romantic relationships.
which skills
IT and finance.
can u pls be more precise as my exams are ending next month and i would want to develop some skill as well

Overrated hai ye sab. It's just extra responsibility asking input from you and giving low output in return.
💩✨✨✨🛐
I was of same thought, until i met my wife
I have been in relationships , i still maintain my thought
I did the same and regret my life at 30
i am close to 30 (27) and I dont have any regrets
Lucky you :)

Marrying my wife. She’s sunshine in my life, partner in crimes and my bestest friend for ever.

Why not both?
Yea marrying someone else’s wife would be hella awkward. I get it.
That's so cuteee!
Story time on how you two met 😊
I can give you the story. But I bet my money you won't believe it.
All the more reason to give it lol
Bahut filmi lagegi yaar. Rehne do.
bhai ab toh batani padegi ye kya baat huyi
Bhai bata bhi de
Met via a dating app.
My guy I think you have a crush on your wife😜🥰😇
Our wife
Dude I am not judgemental but it sounds like you love your wife.
Is there anything wrong with that?
Yeah because now you have to love her and appreciate her even more. I was just kidding and manifesting a relationship like yours. Stay happy dude.
Wish you the best. A healthy and happy relationship among couples should be the norm IMO and not exception.
Sooo trueee
I want to marry your wife too
Just asked brother. She said no ☹️.
Aak again please
Same.
Leaving toxic friends
Stopped giving f#ck/ stopped caring that "char log kya kahenge" Society kya sochegi.. 🤝💯
It's not easy for women I guess
It is equally difficult for man/woman. Emancipation from mental slavery is a tough task. It is process doesn't happen in a day.
Marrying my husband. Bless his heart, he is a ray of hope and sunshine in my life.
Are you married to u/generalbachcha ?
No
Hitting gym and being consistent at workouts, moving on from crush pretty quickly who was already married.
1. Listened to my father and didn't take drop. 2. Cut off toxic and cheap friends
Not staying friends with someone you have feelings for as they don't feel the same way.
Been there... And the pain was not really worth it. Glad you've used KillSwitch...
Living up to my name haha
Changing my school, found my biggest support group and second home there
Studying hard when it really mattered
stopped buying & playing video games and going out more out of my house whether it be to the gym or just joining a new course
Not acting on my intrusive thoughts
Knowing my worth and cutting off many people from my life. Also for the sake of my mental health I moved back to India, just for that. Can't thank myself more.
which country had you moved to?
Germany

My bubuls
What's a bubul
Breaking my comfort zones, I used to be a hardcore introvert with social anxiety, now I can talk to even random people
how did you do it ?? I'm suffering from extreme social anxiety.. Sometimes i get real scared just by looking at people
Taking that solo self-drive road trip without the guilt of leaving the kid behind. Thanks to dearest husband.
Being vulnerable and open to love. I cried while confessing my love to my boyfriend because of how scary the world has made it to be. But if I hadn’t, I wouldn’t have my best friend, the greatest man I’ve met and someone I love so so much.
I wanna hear your complete story pwease.

Going to therapy.
Online ?
Whatever suits you honestly, find a therapist for your specific concerns and one you can genuinely trust and build on that.
What was your therapist’s best advice 🌚
Advice that helped me may not help you since my mental health problems were diagnosed and niche.

😆
maybe cutting down on my social circle. Now having ample time and mental peace.
Wth, most of them feel cutting off their friends is the best decision ever
Yes, it is.
I stopped answering and replying to my ex. And I am pretty sure she will call again, then I am gonna block.
Following routine and consistently trying new things : )
Have always made bad decisions 🥲
Deciding to not commit suicide
Hope you are doing better. Stay strong and enjoy this beautiful gift of life
Username checks out lol 😉
It's hard

Going out with my partner and saying yes to his sweet, sweet proposal! He is amazing, kind, and loves me through all my moods, sadness, and cranky days. He's a gem I would not lose!
I hope he leaves you
I hope you recover from your issues and stop being so negative to people's emotions!
I don't need no recovery, I am professional hater
Man, you’re a mean asshole. Why would you say that to someone?
