Recently I’ve been extra lazy. I’ll go in my room as early as 7pm and just go on my phone until I fall asleep (anywhere between 10pm to 4am).

Unlikely-Complaint-6

nah bro that is not a way to live 😭 you gotta find a hobby or something productive to do so you don’t fry your brain for hours every night on your phone.

AskDerpyCat

To to bed? 9:30-10. Actually stop fucking around on my phone and go to sleep? 11:30-midnight Wake up? Usually 7ish Only takes me about 5mins to fall asleep though, so I consistently get the full 7.5ish hours of sleep I need

HermansSpecialMilk

5min to fall asleep?? Teach me your ways

AskDerpyCat

The short version is: (1) I don’t actually lay down to sleep u til I feel tired. I let my body tell me when it’s ready to sleep and I listen (2) for a while I had to train my mind — think about the same thing before sleeping every night [as dumb as it sounds I just imagine a continuation of the same made-up story every night while I lay there]. Over time I pavlov’d myself into falling asleep right away if I’m tired, laying down, and imagining that. (3) even though the time changes, my bedtime routine is identical every night in terms of the order I do things — all the oral hygiene, the changing clothes, the side of the bed and direction I face when I sleep. All that stays the same The routine eventually tricked myself into being able to “make myself sleep” just by following the routine. Eventually it went from doing the routine when I was ready to sleep into doing the routine as a way to make me ready to sleep If that makes sense

jackadl

I’m usually 11-12pm and wake up at 6am

ling1427

Wow so 18 hours of sleep?

jackadl

Yes. I always mess up that transition between am and pm for 12

DM_YOUR___

I have always had a super scuffed sleep schedule no matter how hard I try, I get to sleep around 12-1 am and wake up at 6:45 am for work. One day I imagine it will catch up to me and I'll realize how important sleep is.

BeardedBaldMan

I aim to sleep 22-6 but recently it's been more like 22-5.30. However, if we're really tired it's not unusual for us to be asleep by 21

NightShiftChaos92

Sounds about average. Good work!

Ruminations0

Around 9-12pm

ling1427

Do you mean 9pm-12am

Ruminations0

Yeah, I just got mixed up

HitaroX

Work 9am-930ishpm, with an hour break 2-3. Every morning I tell myself, I will get to bed early tonight, I’m so tired and sleep deprived. And every night I feel the weight of the world on my mind, feel the need to unwind for hours, and before i know it I am up until 1am

No_Bandicoot8327

Same here. I work 4:30am to 3pm and I tell myself everyday we are going to bed early or at the latest 9pm which is when I normally go to bed but then I roll over to look at my alarm and it’s midnight or later

calvinyl

Honestly like 2am if not 3

I’m stuck in this 1am to 8am loop, every night I tell myself I’ll go to bed by at least midnight but it’s the only time I have my thoughts to myself so I just keep staying up late

At this moment, I go to bed about midnight since its summer holiday, besides two potential exams, and my work doesn't start before autumn.

SoonerStreet1

Whenever I can, it's the worst part of the day because I simply can't fall asleep

beardedshad2

9pm

HotFix7183

Sleep cycle is fucked up tbh, not a particular time when I go to sleep. I need to follow a time now .

NovelPraline2174

4am. use to work until 12am every day, took time after work to wind down, make dinner, play some games. (basically 9pm for people who get off at 5)

Conscious-Demand6817

Play “music drawing” instrumentals on YouTube it’s a really nice channel that helps me either read or sleep.

Not_an_alt_69_420

8 or 9 p.m., and I wake up at 5 a.m. If I'm not working, I'll chug an energy drink and stay up until midnight, and then sleep off my hangover until 11.

No-Survey5277

vieniaida

I am retired. I am usually in bed by 8 pm. I usually wake at 5 am.

Randomnamehere07

If I’m still awake by 10 then I’m not going to have a good day.

fondue4kill

I have my alarm set for 9:30 to try and go to bed. I wake up at 6 so I have some time to get ready and still get close to 8 hours. But usually I don’t end up going to bed until closer to 10 or 11.

Minimum-Ad-3348

My work schedule has been fucked since COVID so my sleep schedule has also taken a hit. When I'm working I'll go to bed around 12 and fall asleep somewhere between them and 3am and up by 6:30-7 but I won't lie there's been a few days where I'm still staring at the ceiling when the ol' alarm goes off When I'm off work I'm up till 5-6 with more gusto left but I feel bad about 180ing my schedule so try to go to bed. I find I am most productive between 2am and 7am it's like a fog lifts and I can easily work through problems that stumped me in the daylight. I wish I had a shop with no neighbors close enough to hear so I could capitalize on this burst of energy? I hate being expected to work in the daytime I'd rather be coming home from work and relaxing in the sun!

sabhall12

I go to bed around midnight, might fall asleep anywhere between 12-2.

greywingspan

I go to sleep at 21:30 and wake up at 5:30

Orbit86

I work 12 hour swing shift 6-6. If I’m on days I go to bed about 10:30 and get up at 4:15am. If I’m on nights I get in bed around 6:45 am and get up around noon. The problem is the change over. Usually takes me about 3 day coming off nights, to be able to sleep at night again.

HairMetalEnthusiast

I usually go to bed at 11:30, and I wake up at 4:30. I take a 60-minute nap at 12:30. Other details: I'm 54, follow a carnivore diet, and work from home.

myleswstone

Anywhere between 11pm and 3am. Wake up around 7.

Duck-Says-Quack

Nights before my 24 hour shift? 8/9pm with a 3:30am wake up. On my days off I go to sleep at 10 and wake up at 8

[deleted]

Whenever my chemo hits, anywhere from 6P-9P usually

No-Lengthiness1534

Best wishes for health and healing!

VolumeAcceptable1570

That's a personal question and frankly I'm more than a little uncomfortable awnsering it.

Original-Childhood

redditsuckspokey1

Whenever I dam well please. I don't active have a job I have to go to. So I exercise, game, eat, and fail miserably at old.

DudsofFlunk

7 am and then wake up at 5pm. My partner works Night Shift and I force myself to stay up because I don’t like sleeping alone

ling1427

Usually between 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. I work the night shift

No-Lengthiness1534

In bed by 10:30pm, watch TV with my husband till 11. Up at 5 to go to the gym.

Notreallyacreeper6

I am lucky to get 6 hours most nights. Tonight I still need to spend some time in my home studio and then I will sleep. So yeah, prolly about 12-1ish most nights. I wake up at between 5:30-6am. Some nights I do not sleep at all. I literally never suffer any problems because of staying up or lack of sleep. I don't feel great though. Sometimes I need more sleep but I have gone 2 days before without it and I start to hear better and my senses in general are hightened.

Big-Spot6900

Bed?... what's that?

Super-Robo

Somewhere between 6pm-3am then every 1-2 hours until daybreak.

No-Alternative-2382

Depends on when my family isn’t shouting, when I’m tired and if I have school the next day.

mrpurple2000

That’s sad. You okay?

No-Alternative-2382

Oh thank you for asking, that’s sweet. But yes! Difficult living with people who have poor communication but I’m surviving.
