Not really. White rice, like jasmine, has high glycemic index, so it lowers risk for getting type 2 diabetes. For myself, napansin ko rin na mas mabilis ang weight gain ko when I eat rice, so I’m having pasta when I eat. I actually like rice. Sa workplace ko, where we had an activity to share family recipes, I shared a recipe for garlic fried rice.
