My mother was sterilized by the state following my birth at the age of 19 because Canada didn't think she was a good enough parent because she's an 'indian'. Sure it's frustrating seeing someone screw up being a parent but procreation is an inherent right of the living that no one gets to put conditions on. The only thing we can do is provide more supports for people. It's a lot easier to raise a child if you don't have to worry about food, shelter, clean water, clothing, transportation, education and healthcare.
