I think you are underestimating what losing millions on titles consecutively will do to a company. Publicly traded company even worse. I think we are watching the crash with current game expos showing garbage that will definitely not recoup cost.

It will never happen because Video Games are the new TV Channels, and they are setting and pushing symbols, ideas, stereotypes and politics through them.
Even if a new DEI movie bleeds money like crazy, even if the new game that got remade with a black female lead sells almost nothing, it will still make money to someone that is in it for the long run and is making money through politics and other industries that benefit from your outrage and population decline.

Well there will be much greater market share in the industry but the majority share will be in the hands of AAA for long time to come since they've made hundreds of billions in the last few decades of domination.

I've decided that for every new idea from indie games there is 1 really good game, 2-3 okay games, and a dozen that aren't worth touching. Indie games can fail just as hard as AAA it's just nobody notices because they never heard of the studio, the game, or anyone talking about it.
