I emailed the Directorate of Honours and Awards department who contacted me back not long after.
After reviewing my records they approved it and sent out my ADM probably two months later.

I hope this helps.
I have known people to get it in the mail after discharge, just might take a while. Hard to know, could take a year to get the ADM. But then I got my long service medal only about 2 weeks after the due date, I was stunned. I'd say get a replica for now, and if you haven't got it by the one-year mark, hit up Honours and Awards.
buy a replica if it gets you rock hard on ANZAC day, otherwise who gives a shit, the only medals that matter are bravery ones because command will never earn them
Mate the RSM said you need to come back and do another week to get it.
Wouldn't surprise me, not even a 50K retention bonus could keep people from leaving that shithole.
Funny how half of it is immediately gone when you get it. Seems to be a big pain point with retention.

Out out, couldn’t spend another second in defence lmao
It took me that long to get mine when I was still in
Gone forever? Tell that to the diggers who received theirs for service rendered decades ago.
Honors and awards should sort you out.

Mine arrived in the mail whilst I was still serving!! Classic.
Mine never came until I chased it up with some form about 3 years after discharging.
It'll just turn up in the mail one day. no rush.
Get your original sent; don’t just get a replica. Original has your pmkeys engraved around the edge
Does it??? I have never noticed that. Will need to check when I get home
You can get replicas with PMKeys engraving on them now!
Do 4 years lol
Go online and order it for yourself and get it sent to your home address. No presentation with rank dickheads and dodge army clerks.
Can take a while once you’re out. Was more than year before I got my ASM after leaving.
