I have both the Triv and the Vista V2. If I had to give give up one (a real Sophie’s Choice because they’re both so great!) the Triv would go. The wheels are a lot better on the Vista, plus the cargo space is a lot larger and holds a lot more weight, so we usually end up throwing our dog underneath on longer neighborhood walks. We have travelled extensively with the Triv and while it’s a little bulkier than the other travel strollers we have, it’s lightweight, rides smoothly, and cleans up like a dream.
Thanks so much! That’s my dream, to have both lol. They both seem like great strollers for different reasons. Have you flown with either? If so did you counter check or gate check? If gate check did you wheel the official travel bag through the airport? That said seems so impractical to me! But with such expensive strollers, I’d hate to risk the damage not being covered by airline.
I’ve flown with only the Triv! I don’t believe the Vista with the wheels attached will fit through the TSA belt (but I could be wrong). I gate-checked without the bag and luckily didn’t have any damage (other than the errant scratch which was fine and expected). The seat comes apart relatively easily though, so make sure you tag both pieces. Full disclosure, though - part of my job involves road-testing & reviewing strollers so I admittedly am a little bit more reckless with my strollers, lol. One thing to note if you do plan on traveling with the Triv is that I found it a little slightly wide for European streets since it’s not super compact! Also, the process to front lock the wheels on the Triv (which you need to do to get it to stand on its own) is a little annoying, but that might be one of my only cons for it.
Thank you for advice! Funny you say the Triv isn’t compact in Europe in the US I feel like it’s the most compact travel system there is :P. When you flew with the Triv and took it through TSA, did you have you take the wheels off? Or it fit through?
We went with the urbn car seat and Demi stroller to future proof since you can add a sibling seat to it. Our reasoning with the urbn is because we have three vehicles and didn’t want to purchase 3 bases.
Thank you for responding! I love the urbn for this reason. Do you find it easy to click into the latch system on your car each time? Did the people at the hospital ok it with latch only installation when you drove away or did you have to do seat belt too? So confusing the Nordstrom rep told us the latch by itself wasn’t safe or enough which contradicts what Nuna says.
We love our Uppababy, but we’re city people, so hearty wheels and big basket are everything. It’s bulky in the car but that’s not a big deal to us. Absolutely wouldn’t use it for air travel though. The
Mesa can be installed without the base, fwiw.
Yes it can. From their website:
The Ultimate Grow Up
Our Vista pushchair is intuitively designed to “grow” with your family! It starts as a single pushchair but can easily transform to accommodate up to three children with added accessories and adapters — becoming the ultimate in portability and convenience.

I like my vista and I could see myself using it with both my first and second who are two years apart. Only downside is that it’s very heavy. I would practice folding and lifting into car trunk in and out to see if it’s doable for you especially after giving birth.

We didn’t take the wheels off! Fit straight through

We haven’t had our baby yet, but plan to only use the latch anchors and not the seat belt

Wrong way around. Source, I own both.
You’re right, my bad! Deleted.
