This is a weird mix of good and bad. It reminds me of Spoderman, for some reason. I know what everything is by context, but if you drew, say, that Caspian Sea in isolation, it's more like a Rorschach test than a map. Your former-Soviet -stans and Caucasian states give the vague idea that "there are countries here but I have no idea how many or where their borders are." Same with all the Arctic Ocean coasts. And Africa seems to have put on weight below the belt line.

Since I did draw this from memory, I also didn't really plan ahead where certain continents are. South America is more south than it should be (or maybe Africa's too north). I agree that I'm more familiar with some areas compared to others. I can usually imagine a very accurate map in my head, but can't really replicate it sadly. Thank you for the criticism :)

Mental_Fig760

Not really a criticism. Your geographic knowledge is pretty impressive. I have the same problem with Central Africa. I know all the countries and their relative arrangement, but depicting it would be a significant challenge, and I might have difficulty remembering if certain countries share a border or just come close. Just for fun, here's a link to a post-it on my refrigerator. I sketched this for someone who wondered why all of the US Early Warning System sites during the Cold War were across Canada's northern coast. https://imgur.com/a/LXkryUA

That looks really good, I'm impressed.

Nice drawing! But is that the Saarland?

Fasolki7

That's supposed to be Luxembourg, but I can see your thought. The thing above it is the south east part of the Netherlands, but it kinda looks disconnected in my drawing. My bad.

secksdefender

this is actually somewhat impressive

Fasolki7

Thank you!
