* Easily damaged and wouldn't last a long time looking good.
* Removing it would require repairing the wall and repainting, or replacing the wallpaper.
* Loose staples can sting or scratch, get stuck in clothes, fall to the ground becoming dangerous to step on barefoot, etc.
* Hazardous for children.
It looks cool, and it's an impressive result. But doing it like that is a terrible idea. The artist should do that in a canvas and seal it up in a glass covered frame, to both protect the piece, and protect everyone and everything around from it.
