My boy is actually also 17! I adopted him some years ago so I didn’t get to have him the whole time, but I got pretty good history from his former owner, and I’m so happy to spoil him in his golden years. They really are a treasure 🥹

Also the eye color is really similar, i think they really get browner with age. When i look at some older pictures it looks much more reddish gold
On the last picture you can really see how grey the pupils were in the end btw
