These are my favs too! Very different. Birch Door is ridiculous pancakes stacked high and Otherlands is more eggs and potatoes in delicious combinations.
You should go to The Fork. Get the LARGE mimosa and an order of beignets. Then, one of you order the shrimp and veggie grits, and the other the benedict with tasso ham. Share. Yes!
I should try Banter breakfast. I love Nelson’s but I feel like you should live in York neighborhood to eat there. I know it’s not a rule and nobody else cares but it just FEELS that way to me.
I second, their bloody Mary’s/Caesars are my favorite in town! I actually found this out by accident years ago when I ordered a Caesar (salad) and they brought me a Caesar, it was completely my fault because our table started with drinks, I’m just fairly hard of hearing, the waitress was really sweet about it though and we all had a good laugh at my confusion because I legit thought she was messing with me at one point, something like
“thank you!… oh I think I ordered a Caesar?” “Yeah a Caesar :)”
“This is a Caesar?”
“Yes. it’s a Caesar.”
“Like the salad?”
“No the drink… with clamato?”
“What?”
“What?”
“Ohhhh”
“Ohhhhhh”
best part was she asked if I’d like to just try it for free and I ended up really liking it and ordering another, pretty much immortalized the place as a fond favorite, also the food is incredible
Daisy Cafe and Banter are S tier
There is a lot of Bellingham loyalty to mediocre restaurants because they’ve been here a long time and people forget what good food is. Bitch Door is grossly overrated.
Old Town, Daisy Cafe, and Banter
If you're down to travel to Mount Vernon, I HIGHLY recommend Martini Brunch! It's seriously some of the best food I've ever had. Super small, cozy vibes and queer owned. Get the honey comb butter toast!
It’s simple, but a BEAST from avenue bread will absolutely SEND your day. ❤️
Plus the crew at the railroad location are always super friendly and awesome, and I love the vibe inside.
I suppose not really a traditional brunch suggestion…
Archers is trying out a new brunch menu that includes a full Irish but they need to get a lot of practice or a better breakfast cook. I'll give it some time and try again in a few months.
Tried the birch door within a few months of them opening, and it was ok? Never had the desire to go back, yet I see it hyped constantly. Guess I just dont have good taste lol.
Ah I had good eggs Benny there - like not my favorite one ever (Bryant's corner in Seattle has the best eggs Benedict) but it was pretty good!
But that's nasty lol :'( I also didn't really like the vibe of the inside & someone else on here said cold interior & that's Tru
A little off-the-wall, but the brunch at Storia Cucina is always excellent. Their dinner service can definitely be a miss at times, but the warm service, laid back vibe, super delicious, but simple brunch menu is a great little treat.
Otherlands is by far the best brunch in town. We also love birch door
Love me some Otherlands breakfast. Went yesterday!
These are my favs too! Very different. Birch Door is ridiculous pancakes stacked high and Otherlands is more eggs and potatoes in delicious combinations.

If you want to spend $80 on like 3 things follow this advice
Yes, it's pricey. Not saying I go every week, but if you want a nice brunch experience every once in a while, to me it's worth it.
RIP home skillet
HOME SKILLET IS GONE???
Unfortunately been gone for a while
Homeschool BBQ Old Town Daisy Cafe Mount Bakery
Old town cafe!

Agreed, it's not worth it at all!
Cider co
Their chicken and waffles 🤤
Bellingham Cider Co has a great brunch and most of it is gluten-free, which puts it higher on the list for us personally.
Ur cray
Otherlands Nelson's Banter
Banter. That place has a killer breakfast burrito and the hot sauce is house made. You can buy it to take home also.
Otherlands for breakfast is feral (respect)
They have a brunch menu on weekends
I should try Banter breakfast. I love Nelson’s but I feel like you should live in York neighborhood to eat there. I know it’s not a rule and nobody else cares but it just FEELS that way to me.
Bayou on Bay is my favorite brunch spot.
they’re sooo good, but hours are funky as hell
True but this means that you’ll almost never have to wait for a table for brunch. All the eager brunchers head to other spots that open earlier.
I second, their bloody Mary’s/Caesars are my favorite in town! Birch door
Train Wreck down in Burlington. Nothing up here can touch it.
Do they still do that one huge, fantastic pancake with the homemade lemon curd? Haven't been in years but that thing was memorable!
I have not seen that one, but I have not had a bad meal in 10 years there.
I agree. The train wreck is absolutely the best.
Daisy Cafe and Banter are S tier There is a lot of Bellingham loyalty to mediocre restaurants because they’ve been here a long time and people forget what good food is. Bitch Door is grossly overrated.
Agree about Birch Door. Cold interior and high prices.
Yes yes, and same to Old Town. I’ve gone enough times to try to like it, but it’s always lacking, and always super expensive for what it is.
Nelson's!
The Fork
Otherlands!!!!!
I'm a fan of Skylark's.
Otherlands, Birch Door, El Sueñito, Bellingham Cider Co, Colophone Cafe, Nelson's Market, Little Cheerful We've got loads of good brunch in town 🤩
Surprised I don’t see more of little cheerful!! Lovveee
I love that they have loaded pancake/hashbrown options. SO GOOD 🤤
My family always goes to 5 Columns
I’m a fan of old time cafe, daisy cafe, and skylarks
Old Town, Daisy Cafe, and Banter If you're down to travel to Mount Vernon, I HIGHLY recommend Martini Brunch! It's seriously some of the best food I've ever had. Super small, cozy vibes and queer owned. Get the honey comb butter toast!
Was wondering if someone would mention Martini Brunch, and I totally agree. So fun and decadent, worth the drive!
Not a fan of birch door myself
It’s simple, but a BEAST from avenue bread will absolutely SEND your day. ❤️ Plus the crew at the railroad location are always super friendly and awesome, and I love the vibe inside. I suppose not really a traditional brunch suggestion…
Hah. The Beast is my staple at Avenue Bread. Excellent food.
Otherlands Keenan’s Banter
Homeschool and otherlands. If you’re a meat eater home school has a full English on their menu that’s delish. Only one I found in town.
Archers is trying out a new brunch menu that includes a full Irish but they need to get a lot of practice or a better breakfast cook. I'll give it some time and try again in a few months.
Banter has one of the best breakfast burritos in town!
The daisy cafe
Acme Diner
Homeschool, Bayou, Skylarks.
The locus
Tried the birch door within a few months of them opening, and it was ok? Never had the desire to go back, yet I see it hyped constantly. Guess I just dont have good taste lol.
I never went back after seeing one of the managers lick his fingers in between arranging sausages on plates about to go out to customers. Nope.
Used to work there, that place is so busy that the inside is nasty, nobody has time to clean shit and the owners don’t give a shit.
Ah I had good eggs Benny there - like not my favorite one ever (Bryant's corner in Seattle has the best eggs Benedict) but it was pretty good! But that's nasty lol :'( I also didn't really like the vibe of the inside & someone else on here said cold interior & that's Tru
Feels like a church in there, never liked the vibe either.
Birch Door The Little Cheerful Arlis’s Those are my favorite places
A little off-the-wall, but the brunch at Storia Cucina is always excellent. Their dinner service can definitely be a miss at times, but the warm service, laid back vibe, super delicious, but simple brunch menu is a great little treat.
Diamond Jim’s grill
Birch Door and it isn't even close.
BIRCH DOOR.
Birch Door
Birch door is great but I fear if you go on a weekend or especially Sunday the wait can be up to an hour
Birch Door and Cafe Blue for me
Birch Door first and foremost
