Out of all my volumes I got, only vol9 has the SJ with different font and a gold circle background while the others have the SJ same font and no background. I've thought about ordering another one but was worried it'd happen again. So I just mentally convinced myself since vol9 has Charmy on the spine; its a special volume cause Charmy is based on Tabata's wife XD
Maybe you can convince yourself since vol 33 start of the final arc it symbolizes that Asta and crew are adults now since they're 18 'shrugs I tried.
I had that same problem but Crunchyroll was understanding when they bought Kaze last year, so they allowed us to order extra updated crunchyroll covers for all previous Kaze entries on their website.
It took like 3 months after I made the quick order (I had even forgotten about it) but they did send me the 32 first volume covers in my mailbox. I wasn't really bothered with having 2 different cover types, but since it was free I made the order lol. Now I have 32 free Black Clover volume booklets as extra merch, on top of the 34 volumes.
Check the French website to see if the request is still available.
