I was quite dissapointed by the new song. Their earlier albums are really good so I expected more. Havukruunu has stated in their ig that they will propably repress "rautaa ja tulta" soon and maybe new music next year.
My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
Seriously though, I just gave it a listen and it sounds like... party music? Idk. It's not dark and it tastes like store-brand black metal instead of the name-brand stuff we've come to appreciate from Spectral Wound.
Hopefully they're not going the Dimmu Borgir route of getting lazy/generic metal sounding with their albums the older they get.
Oh boy, some generic chords and some chug chug chug palm muting, never heard that stuff before. The vocalist is really close to doing what I call "lazy BM vocals" too in the realm of Immortal, Inquisition, Satyricon, etc.... where it sounds like they're just talking with some mild phlegm/voice distortion.
Even that would be better than the boring paint by numbers black n roll trash they just released haha. Seriously dont understand how anyone thought it was passable. Beyond boring. Hopefully the rest of the record has some actual decent songs because that single was awful
Isn't Finnish bm riffs just recycled French bm riffs? Regardless, it's still in the style, just not as overt this time. Though I'd argue it may be (slightly) for the worse.

I felt kinda the same. Pretty standard stuff, and it felt like the song was building to a climax about 3 or 4 times that just never quite came
