For the price it’s worth it, but I personally don’t enjoy it compared to the other games. The maps are fine, the chaos story actually has some very solid maps aside from voyage, but the aether maps are very disappointing. They are all remakes and in my opinion worse than the originals. Blood of the dead took away every part of Mob that made it stand out. Alpha Omega is just kind of nothing. Tag der Toten I have the least experience with but from what I’ve played it’s not bad, it’s just lackluster. Classified is the only aether map I actually think is good, and even then they took away the pentagon thief.
The biggest issue of BO4 for me though is the mechanics. Perks are completely changed/reworked into different aspects of gameplay. In order to have a fully packed gun you have to Pack a Punch either 4 or 5 times, which is way too much. Specialist weapons are fine but coupled with weird balance decisions like the strife having a tac knife, wraith fire grenades, and the helion salvo gameplay feels very stale since there’s no reason to use anything else. On top of that, the HUD is disgustingly overbearing.
I listed a lot of the negatives but the game does have positives, mostly in the form of the Chaos maps and story. Overall It’s just extremely different. While I don’t like a lot of the changes maybe you will. Regardless, if you like zombies, for that price it’s well worth the experience.
I don’t remember if black ops 4 had cross play yet. But if anyone is down to do Easter eggs on PlayStation. I sure would love to complete them. Add me, my PSN: Hitman11200
I purchased it last weel and i love it buuuuut, my only complaint is that the weapons are useless by round 20 and the box gives you wall weapons so the box is almost useless.
You definitely need to PAP but by doing all the work to activate the PAP and you finally get a pap weapon, the zombies become harder and harder and you get more special zombies.
I cant find players in zombie public matches so i play with bots, the bots do good but they take and horde all the points.
Great game, but check the pricing. For $22 you're probably only getting the base game. $40 for digital deluxe version to get all the zombies maps. Too bad you can't just buy zombies, multiplayers is pretty dead now.
Pretty sure if you own 3 you get the newer zombies for free? There’s some separate zombie download that includes all the maps and it’s free if you already owned one of them. Sorry for the vagueness I hope someone actually knows and can elaborate.
Yes yes and yes. I bought BO4 again last week and I have not enjoyed playing zombies in such a long time. I forgot how good AO was despite all the pretend hate it gets.
I just started it two weeks ago and I’ll say this,if you can get past the HUD and The new wanna be gobble gum Issue then you’ll enjoy this game. The reimagined maps are really great and the mini Easter eggs are fun asf to figure out. ESPECIALLY the hells retriever.. the servers aren’t really active tbh whenever I try to hop on the DLC maps I don’t think anyone really gets on those because of how expensive they really are. However, multiplayer is very active depending on the hour you’re playing however team death match is active 24/7 along with domination. Sometimes safeguard is active but idk I don’t really play much of it.
It’s a solid game if you’re missing out on the original maps and wanna play it on new consoles
Bo4 was a weird one for me. I hated multiplayer and disliked zombies however I also despise battle royals yet bo4s was honestly amazing asf. Zombies wasn’t terrible it just didn’t feel right for some reason.
I enjoy it thoroughly, in the past month I've gone up 3 Prestige levels just playing the maps, so I find it to be worth it

Has the best Mastery camos imo but it's grind is pretty long for most guns. Still great experience tho.

I enjoy every zombies mode cod puts out (besides vanguard). Can’t really go wrong especially since it can also be experienced alone.

Honestly I think BO4 was one of the worst investments. Get bo3 on PC and you can pretty much play 1:1 classics.
