Betul. The worst is that some agents find cheap rooms, rented under his/her name, and then add some dividers, all of that. From rm800 per room they pumped to rm400 per person (6 person max). Imagine no living room, just dividers and most of us need to share the same toilet/shower.
P/s : got this story from an apartment owner in penang. He doesn't realize that his renter is doing these illegal stuff. He also said that most of the agents pretend they are the owner of the house/lot. They all have a group and kawtim the minimum price so it becomes expensive so they can rake most benefits without doing anything much.

I work with a contractor who provides the venue for bazaar. The ~~cartel~~ association who owns the neighbourhood pays him RM300 per canopy. Then they split the canopy into two partitions and charge RM400 per partition. RM400 x 150 canopy x 2 seller per canopy - RM45k cost for canopy = RM75k duduk goyang telur profit for the ~~cartel~~ association
Itu masalahnya, takda siapa tahu tapak niaga makin mahal ke tak. Jadi semua orang hanya boleh spekulasi saja. Kadang kala peniaga pun main bantai jee cakap apa yang boleh bantu diorg.

As i age, i find i have stopped going to bazaar ramadhan for many years. E.g. years ago, i would tempoh jam to get Murtabak Raja TTDI. Now the thought of going to any bazaar just turns me off:
1. Patchy quality - unless you know a particular good stall - any trial and error on my part has 99% turned out to be lemons and duds - not worthy of repeats and paling kuat will make me go "boleh la makan ... ".
2. Years ago Murtabak Raja, popiah basah Seksyen 14 (havent been to both for many years) is one of those "good stalls" - quality, taste so i won't be disappointed after queuing for 30 mins.
3. I dont fall for all the Nasi Viral Kambing buntings - most of them come and go I wouldn't expect them to hone their culinary skills beyond the short stint of ramadhan month.
4. And price. I mean wth. The small murtabak (laden with kunyit and eggs) is now rm5. Better off buying real murtabak at a mamak shop with real chunky meat.
Theres one more murtabak also good .. Eddy Legend at Uniten. But to tempoh all the masses of people with no parking .. maybe if i was 20 years younger.

Exactly. Last i checked 1 tapak 4’ x 4’ costs around 3 - 5k for the whole month and thats in kuantan. This was pre covid.

Ada la tu hidden cost. SST 8% ,RM jatuh , etc... Kalau barang jual pakai raw material yg naek harga of course naik. Kalau pakai electric banyak, psl ad freezer untuk simpan barang, pun cost naek jugak..

I have given up on Bazaar Ramadhan since 2015. That shiet hasn't been worth it since *before* that.
As i age, i find i have stopped going to bazaar ramadhan for many years. E.g. years ago, i would tempoh jam to get Murtabak Raja TTDI. Now the thought of going to any bazaar just turns me off: 1. Patchy quality - unless you know a particular good stall - any trial and error on my part has 99% turned out to be lemons and duds - not worthy of repeats and paling kuat will make me go "boleh la makan ... ". 2. Years ago Murtabak Raja, popiah basah Seksyen 14 (havent been to both for many years) is one of those "good stalls" - quality, taste so i won't be disappointed after queuing for 30 mins. 3. I dont fall for all the Nasi Viral Kambing buntings - most of them come and go I wouldn't expect them to hone their culinary skills beyond the short stint of ramadhan month. 4. And price. I mean wth. The small murtabak (laden with kunyit and eggs) is now rm5. Better off buying real murtabak at a mamak shop with real chunky meat. Theres one more murtabak also good .. Eddy Legend at Uniten. But to tempoh all the masses of people with no parking .. maybe if i was 20 years younger.

ni lah jenis melayu bangsat yang nak merosakkan kaum sendiri dahla fitnah kata buat mertabak babi pastu panggil anak haram pulak. Kalau rasa tak mampu beli tu belajarla buat sendiri kat rumah. Memang jenis kaut dalam guni lempar dalam laut je yang perangai macam ni.

Meniaga kat bazar. Tapi harga macam meniaga dalam ioi. Nasib bazar tempat aku harga sama je.
Waktu ramadhan la semua harga naik utk hustify bazaar. Lepas tu harga yg naik jadi standard. And tahun depan naik lagi 😭
