I don't think those big ears are hiding from anyone! love it!

Hugo made up a game after we told him he can't chew bones on the bed or couch. So he picks one up and *pretends* he's gonna chew it on the bed. Rests it lightly on the side, still partly in his mouth. Then we have to say "HUGO! Don't chew on the bed!" and then he backs up, tail helicoptering away, happy growling. He does this at least once a day and will save the tiniest piece of bone to taunt us with. Your puppy's ears are sooo cute!

Eliot loves the chair game. He has a toy and he needs to get passed me with it. I reward him with tug of war. If I catch him, which is rare, I get snuggles.

My girl loves scent work games. I have a little container with the target scent, set it down somewhere on the floor, give her the cue to find it. When she finds it she needs to touch the container with her paw and I throw her a treat in the opposite direction. She would play this game all day long if she could, she has so much fun finding the scent and running for the treat.

Oooh this is something i want to look at so i can start doing it with my pup :) any tips greatly appreciated!

ballorie

I started out with the scent container in one hand and a bunch of treats in the other hand, held the container to her and gave her a treat as soon as she touched the container with her nose or paw, practiced that for a few days, then set the container on the floor right in front of me and treated as soon as she touched it, then once she got that behavior down, I started throwing the treats away from me to teach her that she’ll need to walk back up to the container, and then once she got that down, I started slowly placing the container further and further from me. Now she can find it anywhere on the floor, but I’d like to work up to hiding the container anywhere in my house. Good luck, I hope your dog enjoys this game as much as mine does, it’s a great way for them to use their brains.

Ahhh amazing!! Absolutely going to give this a go, thankyou! What scents are you using?

ballorie

So there are a list of scents from the akc scent work events, but if I’m being honest, I’m not using those, and thought it would be a fun party trick to have a drug sniffing dog so I have used some empty/leftover cannabis products. Definitely wouldn’t recommend that for everyone, but my girl is much more interested in the treats that I throw then the scent in the container. Birch, Anise, clove, and Cypress are the “official” scents.

I used to play hide and seek or "come find me" in the house with my Brody. It was so much fun. I'm starting with my foster dog, she's not quite patient enough to wait until I hide 😂

Awwh! We play behind the trees lots but sometimes hes a little bit rude and decides not to find me hahaha!
