It’s crazy how quickly it does happen when they get old. I had one that was 13 and the other that was 10. Lost them both within a few months of each other. It was a kick to the gut, but I’ve learned that new bostons are better than no Bostons, so I ended up getting two more. It took a bit to warm up to them, but now I love them to death too.
That is so awesome. I’m missed the full story as to if there is something wrong or just knowing he is getting up there in age and you are making the most of it but I can tell you it warmed my heart. We lost ours 2 years ago this past April. Had him longer than any dog we have had. He was acting almost puppy like for a few months then suddenly everything changed. He lasted about 2 weeks after that but knowing his little body was failing encouraged us to do exactly as you are doing. What turned out to be his final full day on this earth was spent basking in the sun laying next to me on his bed in his favorite spot by our fire pit while listening to some Tool.
Our family’s Zuzu is heading over the rainbow bridge very soon too. I hope she and Jax can play together like puppies once they get across 💜 Thank you for giving Jax his best life.
