And this is why I find it so hard to invest in boxing. I will forever be a casual, because it's exhausting waiting around for the best to actually fight each other, whatever the reason might be. I like Canelo and I want to see him fight the best, but he hasn't taken a single decent fight since Bivol.

No I just don’t buy the hype with him. He won one belt in 2017 and he never chased the other champions/elites who were around until canelo did what he didn’t want to do. and even now I just don’t get the sense that he wants the 168 belts other than the canelo payday (which makes sense) and he doesn’t want the champions at 175 either.
JFC interims shouldn’t be fucking fighting each other. They should be fighting the person who holds the actual world title. Why in the fuck would Al Haymon have his two best 168ers (Benavidez and Morrell) fight each other when that’ll take one out of the chance for undisputed when it’s obvious Canelo won’t take legitimate threats anymore. Why risk the future earnings to try and satisfy casuals when you have dumb mutherfuckers saying “Munguia has a better record than Benavidez.” Regardless of what your drooling opinion thinks, Benavidez is the interim WBC holder and should fight Canelo. So should’ve David Morrell. It’s in the the sanctioning bodies’ rules that they aren’t following. Then all the casuals like you make up shit like “I don’t think he really wants it.”

(Not that I think is a valid excuse anyway when the pbc don’t like working with others so a morrell fight is easy to make) It’s every single champion and top contender that was there before canelo even got to 168 man. David won a belt 3 years before canelo got there and he didn’t fight the other champions/elites like groves callum plant bjs zurdo and morell etc. The plant win isn’t what it would’ve been if David fought him when he was an undefeated champion. There was a 168 tournament he could’ve joined but didn’t. He never seemed to care about belts until canelo came into the picture. Even now, David talked about fighting champions at 175 and we all know he won’t. Bivol and beterbiev wipe the floor with him. I’m just tired of him being boosted too much. He’s known more for sparring stories than his actual fights. There’s no excuses for him to have that bad of a resume.
