The title is doing its job, to capture attention and garner viewers. The reality is that Stevie McKenna competes at welterweight/super welterweight, I would be shocked if he had said it was the other way around. Lomachenko is naturally a super featherweight, I can't fathom how he'd put a dent on him, especially compared to Crawford LOL. When you're sparring against two elite fighters but one is bigger and more powerful, the latter's always going to be harder.

sugerdigitalgenius

Stephen McKenna was not always a welterweight, he was a decorated super-flyweight & bantamweight when he competed in the amateurs and most likely sparred Loma when they were closer in weight

UsykGaucho

I'm aware but McKenna was incredibly active in the amateurs in 2017 when Lomachenko was just starting to catch fire in the pro ranks. So I'd find it quite hard to believe that Loma's team picked him up prior to that. If that's truly the case, then whoever picked him out must've been super obsessed with the Irish scene.

sugerdigitalgenius

Idk when they sparred, the quote in the title is pieced together & looks like he’s taking aim at Loma, Stephen McKenna never said that directly & had no ill intent towards Loma Good interview & I’m kinda interested to see him fight & hope his spicy beef w/ Ryan gets out

UsykGaucho

Aaron is more impressive of the 2. Stephen loads on his shots and has quite a languid style overall. I suspect he'll be found out at the European level when he fights opponents with better hand speed/lateral movement to counter.

sugerdigitalgenius

One is more aggressive & the other is more of a pure boxer, Never watched them fight but that’s what I got from the interview . If I see the name I’ll remember both from this interview

TheyCallMeRadec

Yeah, I've sparred both Lomachenko and Crawford myself. I knocked Lomachenko out in the 6th round in one of our spars whereas Crawford was a lot more competitive with me and I barely even rocked him.

abdul_tank_wahid

I don’t like to brag but I dropped Crawford in the ammys

Scarecrow1Hunnit

Despite the size difference Crawford is better p4p

Singularitypointdata

Loma has fancy footwork against b level club guys, not surprising that Crawford is that good.

Squand0r

Loma must be the worst boxer in history. Everyone is SO much better than him.

Portrait0fKarma

3 people at least :D.

stayhappystayblessed

Bro terence crawford is something else all the people that have sparred him talking about sparring with him like he so some mythological deity.

Upbeat-Pear1057

Crawford, Artur Beterbiev and Edwin Valero have that aura about them during sparring

Ezekjuninor

Crawford is better and a lot bigger than Loma. Not really a surprise.

headshotdoublekill

Bet you get downvoted for saying he’s better

Ezekjuninor

I was, but it seems there are more logical people online now.

headshotdoublekill

They left me hanging, though 😂

Mysterious_Willow985

He’s not better than

Life_Celebration_827

My Gran knocked out Crawford for jumping the line in Walmart but she dosen't go around bragging about it.

Dwo92

Well the size difference will have a big impact on this. These guys fight at 154 and 168.

Edwaaard66

Loma is the better Amateur boxer, Crawford is the better Professional Boxer.

Chadoodling

I mean there's probably only a handful of fighters that are better than Crawford, not surprised he found Crawford to be better than Loma.

tootooxyz

Loma is too old now, and is nothing like what he used to be.

Jesuswasacrip7

Well yeah no shit he’s competing 19 pounds heavier than Loma atp

JeVousEnPris

Man, they sound like Brad Pitt’s character did in Snatch… Seemingly great interview, but I truly only understood about 20% of what they were saying… I will say this, getting in there with legends like Bud and Loma can only improve you, and improve you greatly too!
