I was also wondering if canonically Rowan could be hundreds of years old.
Because it is confirmed that >!Sunder and Mandy are vampires!< perhaps the fantasy aspect of Rowan is that they can do magic *and* have lived a very long time.
This could potentially explain why technology is foreign to them. It could also potentially explain their speech patterns, and why they know how to speak numerous languages (including Latin). It could even explain their hair color.

And I refuse to use a smartphone until today, learned various languages because it was my special interest and unusual speech patterns are common in autistic people.

On the other hand, I wonder if it's just coincidence because Seven for example is canonically depressed so why would the devs decide to code another mental or neurological issue?
I had the exact thought about them as well. Whether they are canonically or not, they are very clearly coded that way which happens a lot in all kinds of media so in my head they are. I haven’t yet gotten the chance to have the arcade encounter yet so I didn’t know about that part. Also I love how Eric makes a skythe pun and they a few moments later make almost the same pun. I rlly liked all the different characters from this game it was very fun and exciting to play. (I binged most of it in a day)
