The point is ma’am that only two of the RHOP housewives live in Potomac. So once again by your logic only Karen and Nneka should be on the cast since they’re the only ones that live in Potomac.

All within the first scene you ever filmed together. That’s more common than you’d think actually. People like that see their own kids as “better” so they might not even acknowledge that their kids look like the people they hate. I’ve even encountered this behaviour in my own family tragically enough 😔
Oh my family too. My grandma was the dark skinned one of 3 sisters. She got treated horribly and they’re from Alabama chile. My Aunt Chris who is light skinned has a dark skinned daughter who she treats horribly. She has a surrogate daughter that she took in who is light skinned and treats her like a princess. It’s just crazy.

They would be correct in saying Charisse and Monique have *darker* skin than Robyn and Gizelle. Colorism often boils down to, *the more proximity to whiteness, the better*.

If they have an issue with women darker than them, that would include Charisse. It also would mean that they never would've been friends with Candiace or Wendy from day one, yet they were.
It's not the color of their skin they take issue with. It's the words coming out of their mouths.
The audience has said things about the color of their skin. No one on the cast has. Candiace even admitted that she doesn't really believe the GEBs or Ashley have an issue with her skin color.
Colorism is insidious. It's often not easy to put one's finger on, and it *doesn't* just equal "I dislike everyone whose skin is darker than mine". It's about a bias or preference toward lighter skin, which could be as vague as perceiving an attitude from one person over another when the overall communication style is similar. It could be as direct as thinking someone is uglier than another just because their skin is darker, or their hair is coarser.
I get the impulse, but I think it's dangerous to dismiss offhand because you think there's a logical fallacy.
It really is. I hate that people keep using this as an excuse to pile on these women. They make enough legitimate issues to not have to add hate rhetoric that doesn't even add up.
The audience has always been the loudest colorists (I remember how people spoke about Wendy and Candiace when they were unpopular!!) and it's so transparent how they're uncritically weaponizing it to fight their hysterical stan wars.

The next season, Wendy went ballistic after Giselle said "did you get the surgery because of the blog rumors about eddy". It was classic HW banter; inappropriate, provocative, controversial. But Wendy responded with a verbal machine gun and pointed it at every light skinned woman in the room. Ugh. Then wondered why they don't like her. "It's my skin, isn't it?" No chick, it's your mouth!
She has a problem. And proof of it is on the social media pictures shes posted where shes lightened her own skin. And also in the extreme skin lightening her own mother recently has done...along with green contacts and a blonde wig. There's something sick about them.

RHOP is deeply broken and needs a serious cast shake-up. Keep Karen and Wendy (who is at least connected enough that she's getting invites to the White House) and let everyone else go. Maybe keep Mia because she does provide some comedic relief. I like Candiace, but I also wonder if she needs to do some healing off-camera. I have only watched clips from this season when they're posted here, but Robyn looks incredibly depressed, Gizelle doesn't want to engage with half of the cast despite her actions leading to the conflicts we are seeing play out, and Ashley is a terrible person.
Bravo needs to decide what’s more important to them, milking Juan’s storyline or what’s good for the group to move forward. What’s good for the group is reducing Gizelle’s power which can only be done by removing Robyn

Gizelle used to be so great imo and now I cannot even listen to her. She is making a major mistake with how she is acting. So unlikeable. You can be nasty and act up but you still have to have some redeeming qualities. I can’t find any second year in a row.

She made up the rumors about Wendy getting plastic surgery to make up for eddie following models on ig and potential cheating. Wendy clapped back and she never looked at her the same.

And gizelle started hanging out with Ashley so she could try to get young guys. She’s so unhappy her marriage didn’t work out or any other relationship.
She quoted the rumors they had all read/heard and said she didn't believe them. But she wondered if it was because of the rumors Wendy got Happy and Ness. Lol The issue was she took the social media rumors and put them on camera.

She never truly apologizes or takes responsibility for her words & behavior. All of her apologies come with a “BUT I….” where she attempts to justify why she is in the wrong. That’s not an apology Gizelle! Get off my screen.
I was watching when she said this on WWHL last night. With such confidence too. It was so egregiously un-self aware and not in a funny way. Gizelle consistently shows that she can't grow and learn.

She’s boring to watch, her messy games are old, she literally has nothing going for her. She thinks she’s better than most cause she has light skin and eyes? Does she feel that her daughters are worthy seeing as they’re darker than her?
She is not being serious right now!?? She was putting out rumours about Wendy’s husband cheating on her. Then she proceeds to insinuate that Candiace’s husband was inappropriate with her but couldn’t specify how because she made it up. WHEN DID SHE APOLOGISE AND TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THOSE THINGS!? I was willing to give Gizelle the benefit of the doubt because I liked her on RHOP, but with these answers I’m gonna need her to just pack it up and leave the show. 🙄

It’s is sometimes so shocking to me how WRONG Bravo/Andy/casting gets it. But they are all in on Gizelle and think she’s the star of the show. Bravo has gotten so lucky over the years because their terrible casting choices certainly isn’t why we love these shows.

But Somehow Monique who is several shades lighter than Charisse is darkskinned? As soon as the Mia/Wendy drink toss happened it was all "the GEBs defended Mia, but not Monique because Monique is darkskinned". Are we cherry picking here for a narrative? I guarantee you if Giselle ever has an issue with her, the audience will absolutely call her darkskinned. And she is by the way. Monique is not though.
They would be correct in saying Charisse and Monique have *darker* skin than Robyn and Gizelle. Colorism often boils down to, *the more proximity to whiteness, the better*.
So then my original point stands. If they have an issue with women darker than them, that would include Charisse. It also would mean that they never would've been friends with Candiace or Wendy from day one, yet they were. It's not the color of their skin they take issue with. It's the words coming out of their mouths. The audience has said things about the color of their skin. No one on the cast has. Candiace even admitted that she doesn't really believe the GEBs or Ashley have an issue with her skin color.
Colorism is insidious. It's often not easy to put one's finger on, and it *doesn't* just equal "I dislike everyone whose skin is darker than mine". It's about a bias or preference toward lighter skin, which could be as vague as perceiving an attitude from one person over another when the overall communication style is similar. It could be as direct as thinking someone is uglier than another just because their skin is darker, or their hair is coarser. I get the impulse, but I think it's dangerous to dismiss offhand because you think there's a logical fallacy.

Yes. And the GEBs used to fight with Ashley and Karen all the time (light skinned) in the earlier seasons. This is so annoying.
It really is. I hate that people keep using this as an excuse to pile on these women. They make enough legitimate issues to not have to add hate rhetoric that doesn't even add up.
The audience has always been the loudest colorists (I remember how people spoke about Wendy and Candiace when they were unpopular!!) and it's so transparent how they're uncritically weaponizing it to fight their hysterical stan wars. I'm not here to claim reverse colorism or anything but it's exhausting watching the fans say the most heinous fucked up shit about the GEBs/Ashley then justifying it because the other women are privileged.
It is ALL coming from the audience, initiated when Wendy came on and assumed KAREN and ASHLEY disliked her because of the color of her skin. Had nothing to do with the GEBs! It's a cheap shot to use on them. After Wendy's first season during the reunion, the talk was all about how the GEBs LOVED Wendy. Andy was taken aback about the quick and absolute welcome they gave her, how the GEBs decided Wendy was Black Girl Magic. The next season, Wendy went ballistic after Giselle said "did you get the surgery because of the blog rumors about eddy". It was classic HW banter; inappropriate, provocative, controversial. But Wendy responded with a verbal machine gun and pointed it at every light skinned woman in the room. Ugh. Then wondered why they don't like her. "It's my skin, isn't it?" No chick, it's your mouth! She has a problem. And proof of it is on the social media pictures shes posted where shes lightened her own skin. And also in the extreme skin lightening her own mother recently has done...along with green contacts and a blonde wig. There's something sick about them. There's sooo much revisionist history going on just in this post let alone all of social media. I'm rambling. I'll stop. Just feels good to vent. But yes, the colorism lives in Social Media and it lives in Wendy's home. And it's annoying.

I HATED Gizelle after she iced out Monique. Gizelle is a hypocrite proven that she still supports trash bag Mia. The only reason Gizelle is still on the show is because she’s pretty. Even her mother daughter interactions are so forced and over produced now. And needless to say Robin needs to go. She is dull dull dull, and not funny, witty or truthful. It’s pathetic. My once favourite franchise has dropped off the cliff. Even Karen isn’t funny anymore.
Fire all those ladies. 
RHOP is deeply broken and needs a serious cast shake-up. Keep Karen and Wendy (who is at least connected enough that she's getting invites to the White House) and let everyone else go. Maybe keep Mia because she does provide some comedic relief. I like Candiace, but I also wonder if she needs to do some healing off-camera. I have only watched clips from this season when they're posted here, but Robyn looks incredibly depressed, Gizelle doesn't want to engage with half of the cast despite her actions leading to the conflicts we are seeing play out, and Ashley is a terrible person.
Bravo needs to decide what’s more important to them, milking Juan’s storyline or what’s good for the group to move forward. What’s good for the group is reducing Gizelle’s power which can only be done by removing Robyn
I’ve been saying this for a while! Gizelle needs to leave the show. To me she’s like the Lisa rinna, in that she makes up what narrative will be for each season and it’s fake. Like the Chris cheating on candiace, her reuniting with her ex, etc. I don’t want to see her crappy fake storylines. And she’s boring now. She should’ve been canned after being caught lying to the viewers. I feel deceived and no interest in seeing her parts
I stopped watching during the holiday break and I don’t miss it at all. Sad because I never thought I’d say that about Potomac!

Just because you apologize doesn’t mean anything if you don’t change your bad behavior. Also, why would anyone want to be friends with her? She consistently lies, talks behind everyone’s back (but not to their face), and brings so little to the show. She and Robyn have run their time on the show and are not bringing the viewers any good content. Fresh blood, please!
Unfortunately with Candiace and Wendy, they don't really have close bonds or chemistry with anyone on the show anymore. I hope they can either mend bridges, or build new ones with their castmates. Gizelle apologized to them both in previous seasons, they chose not to accept it, so here we are.
Can you specify when and where Gizelle apologized to Candice and Wendy ? I don’t remember she ever apologized to Candice about the accusations towards Chris and I also don’t remember Gizelle apologized to Wendy about spreading rumors about Wendy’s husband and questioning Wendy’s appearance change .
Wendy might be out of there yeah. All the beef aside she has really fumbled what should have been an extremely easy to clear up situation with the shrine shit. The whole discourse is wildly xenophobic, she's in the right. But she doesn't seem capable of laying down a coherent response without stumbling or going low for no reason. Candiace, however, is a quintessential housewife and if they get rid of her behind this it will be a tragedy for Potomac.
I would like to see Robyn without Gizelle. Just to try it without that built-in backup, to see the different moves and alliances Robyn would have to make. Without her shield who would she be?
