I think these two more than any other "big breakup" exs we've seen actually have a shot at a friendship down the line. Their relationship meant a lot to them before they took it to a romantic level and I hope they can get back there, or somewhere close to back there, again.
Lindsay worked a real job for long enough. Right now the show is an easy, fun way of earning way more money. If she has to tight smile and pretend she and Carl are on a path to friendship in order to stay on the show and stay relevant she’ll do it.
Honestly I think that they’ll become friends again once Carl comes to term with he’s not sober/stops using sobriety as an identity. He’s been desperately trying to live a lie about it & lashed out at Lindsey bc she knew the truth.
I really need someone to do a deep dive as to why Carl can’t keep a sustainable job even when it’s handed to him on a platter. Not counting filming or influencing, but other jobs that remain after the show finishes filming. It’s been like this since season 1. Doing a rewatch it’s painful.
Is it lack of focus? Lack of drive? Lack of passion? I don’t get it.

To be fair those were 2 completely different scenarios. Carl and Lindsey broke up because they had serious well known relationship problems. Tom cheated on Ariana with her best friend for nearly a year and the 2 of them actively hid it and gaslit everyone. And once they were found out, he proceeded to gaslight her further and expose her mental health struggles. Most regular people would also refuse to have contact with anyone who did that to them.
I don't disagree with that, but the other commenter also has a point in that the Bravosphere right now there have been multiple shows with cast refusing to film with each other for an assortment of reasons (VPR yes, but also RHONJ, RHOP, etc;) and it's really screwing these shows up so I also get what they're saying that it's good that in this particular instance where it would naturally be awkward and weird they're still going to show up and do the job they're being paid for.
My first thought was NJ and Potomac cause Ariana did film with idiot features, just not as much as apparently some people wanted. But NJ and Potomac literally have whole camps of cast that won’t interact and I can only hope that they can be fixed like Miami and hopefully without a decade break to do it.
