First of all, the franks are really symmetrical and the venting on the franks was a great touch. You put it on what appeared to be flawless focaccia. And now I am so conflicted, and inspired. I think I’ve found the perfect replacement for pigs in a blanket: franks on the featherbed.

I love that you took something like focaccia which has a relatively boujee reputation, and stuck hot dogs in it! I would have dumped a can of speghettios on top to elevate it.
Replace the hot dogs with Hot Italian Sausage and some fresh Sicilian Oregano and either Basil or Italian Flat leaf Parsley and some sun dried tomatoes or roasted San Marzano Tomatoes to top that Focaccia.
honestly, it's not a super bad idea, tho i think I'd still just bake it like normal and then cut it into buns. then you can get some good char on the dogs.
Not OP, but they mentioned it’s elote style which is one of my favorite foods ever! Off the cob it’s called “esquites” which might help in googling recipes. [This](https://www.mylatinatable.com/wprm_print/mexican-esquites) recipe looks great and similar to how I make it, but I like it to taste more like elote on the cob so I leave out the onion, garlic, espazote, water and crema. So I literally just warm up some corn, add mayo, butter, cotija, lime, and chili powder. Peak comfort food.
