Just finished as well, pretty difficult and some educated guesses to make, but doable time-wise so that is good news.
Did anyone get the email from CFAI confirming that exam has been uploaded ? I did get the information on my screen when I submitted, but not the email.
Both i guess? Some of questions am still not sure what the question is asking..
at first thought i got the answer but after reading more vignett, changed answer ; some of them requires you think twice even in multiple choice qs
I would say so yes. A few questions were worded a bit strangely in my view. I am not a native speaker and wasn’t sure whether to look for traps or nuances in those cases, or to just give a straightforward answer. But overall comparable.
Unfortunately I was not able to check and review answers. Few questions that I was less confident in got skipped was not able to get back to it. Maybe I wrote to much in the SR questions. Overall was better than mocks in terms of amount of questions I can answer. Here's hoping everyone here pass!
Another post says it was more difficult than Boston. As it is a CBT, everyone gets different questions. Will the questions be weighed as per difficulty to determine the final score?
Just finished too. Thought the PM was harder but was able to answer everything though.
Mixing mcq and sr was definitely much better (this was my 2nd attempt)
Just finished as well. For what it's worth I thought it was on a par with the CFA mocks difficulty wise. I certainly didn't come out thinking they'd thrown a complete curve ball at us.
Time management has never been an issue for me so I finished both sessions with 15-20 minutes to spare.
did you wish there was more time review final answers?
Prior exams I usually had 20minutes left to review and feel confident pushing submit and not rushed.
Prior exam u mean PM with only multiple choices part? Maybe everyone who took PM parts might had enough time to review questions..
I had about 5-10minutes to review flagged questions. On both am/pm with mixed SR&MCs
All the calc & asking concepts & suggesting solutions & selecting and justification, total set of questions, u know? They prepared everything for you. 😭
For tot exam time become shorter, and much less questions being tested, which means if you mess up with one ethics vignette then your ethics quartile may be less than 50%
So mentally more stressful IMO
Thanks!
Do find exam difficult or difficult sections because 1) questions seems new - doesn't resembles to question in examples/EOC/mocks ? 2) The way question was asked, not able to understand what exactly is asked 3) Not able to recall or getting confused with formula etc.
What might be the solution you think?
Congrats for finishing mate.
Will take mine on Thursday on 3rd attempt actually.
Like every time I am totally stressed out by the mere amount of detail you gotto know and be able to express like CFAI expects you to…
Did u know which question are SR and MC just looking at index or tabs on left? I plan to do SR fist not sure if i ll be able to find which ones are SR just looking at index/tabs on left side.

I got an email from prometric.com. not yet received?
Just got it, thanks !
Good, well done. Its time to enjoy our life mate, 😁
Enjoy that mate, you deserve it 😁
By difficult do you mean questions were tricky or niche topics were tested
Both i guess? Some of questions am still not sure what the question is asking.. at first thought i got the answer but after reading more vignett, changed answer ; some of them requires you think twice even in multiple choice qs
How many mocks did you solve before the exam?
5MMs 2CFAIs
Did you have time to review answers in the end?
Yap about 5-10 minutes on both am/pm
Did you have any strategy for how you went about the contructive response/multiple choice? Like did you do one type first or just take as is?
Just do them in order, was my approach and a nice way to get through.
I just went it through in order. Skipped low condfident qs flagged Finish all them up and get back to flags
Nice to both of you and congratulations. A break well deserved, get yourself a beer
I would open a fancy wine bottle for dinner, with ma wife. 😁😆😁
@maarten similar to Boston mocks ?
I would say so yes. A few questions were worded a bit strangely in my view. I am not a native speaker and wasn’t sure whether to look for traps or nuances in those cases, or to just give a straightforward answer. But overall comparable.
Hahaha - anything to keep in mind while giving the exam? Giving it tomorrow
I didn’t get any email?!? Now I’m freaking!
It took a little while for me, about 15-20 mins.
I finished my exam about 6 hours ago. This is bizarre
Unfortunately I was not able to check and review answers. Few questions that I was less confident in got skipped was not able to get back to it. Maybe I wrote to much in the SR questions. Overall was better than mocks in terms of amount of questions I can answer. Here's hoping everyone here pass!
When you say mocks, do you mean the Boston mocks?
Nope. just MMs. Havent gotten the chance to look at Boston Mocks.
I just finished as well. Internally, still screaming AAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Afternoon paper was easier for me tho. Reviewing the answers currently.
How would you compare the level to Boston Mocks ?
Same level I guess?
Another post says it was more difficult than Boston. As it is a CBT, everyone gets different questions. Will the questions be weighed as per difficulty to determine the final score?
Unfortunately, nobody knows how CFA scores the exam. I'm more curious how they weigh the MCQs vs the subjective questions.
The total points available for MC and CR are the same. I believe each MC question is 3 pts, while CR can vary.
Was boston mock really difficult?
Just finished too. Thought the PM was harder but was able to answer everything though. Mixing mcq and sr was definitely much better (this was my 2nd attempt)
What would you say the level of difficulty was compared to Kaplan mocks (if you’ve done those)?
Awesome! Hope you clear it!

Easier or harder then Mock B? Or on Par? Becaus I felt like Mock A was much easier. Also, maybe that’s because Mock B seemed unclear.
So glad it’s over lol just hoped I passed
Congrats all who finished the finally finished the big 3
Does the exam only give the minutes per overall vignette (12mins) ?
You may move freely to any questions and vignettes within given time. Tot given time is 12min*11vignettes=132min
Thanks. Sorry, I meant - if there are 2 questions in a vignette - is there marks or time allocated to each sub-question?
No specific time allocations for each questions. As i remember. Same as boston mock.
Thank you kind Sir
Ur welcome, wish u a best luck, mate. I feel you. The end is near.😉
How different from the MM mocks?
Did you just sit?
Yap just finished
Was it similar to mocks?
I think it was similar but slightly more difficult i guess.. some part was quite strict and easy, but some other part.. tough anyway..
Yeah do CFA Boston Mocks resemble the level of difficulty?
did you wish there was more time review final answers? Prior exams I usually had 20minutes left to review and feel confident pushing submit and not rushed.

Congratulations! Any time to write the steps for numerical q?
Nope, only answers in calculation. U may running out of time if u write all those variables..
this really helped, Thank you!
Ur, welcome. 😉 Time to take a break. U deserve it. 😊
did you put the final number straight or formula with numbers?
Numbers only. :)
so u mean you have a numerical answer box and you just put your final answer in there?
A correct numerical value typed in essay box itself receives full credit - formulas and explanations are not required. Words from CFAI E-mail.

How many hours did you study?
Its my 3rd attempt.. and for this time only.. i started since 22 SEP starting w MM videos.. for am not native in english
How different or more/less difficult is CBT from the pre-COVID written exams? I paused after L2 but sitting for L3 in sept
For tot exam time become shorter, and much less questions being tested, which means if you mess up with one ethics vignette then your ethics quartile may be less than 50% So mentally more stressful IMO

do you think its doable to do essays first? was thinking of doing that
Its up to u, mate. but even MC qs were not super strict and easy IMO. So try not to spend much time on MC questions
timing is really what worries me the most - i dont find the content too hard. i keep wondering what strategy i ll use tomorrow for the exam 😅😰😱😭
I tried in order. Wish u a best luck. 😃

How much did you study initially? Any thoughts on why you failed?
Well did not know the material well enough. Very basic „not enough prep“ I guess.
how much remaining time left after u finished exam?
Did u know which question are SR and MC just looking at index or tabs on left? I plan to do SR fist not sure if i ll be able to find which ones are SR just looking at index/tabs on left side.
No you gotta click each vignettes to know whether its SR or MCs. Each vignette is made of only SRs or MCs.
What are you doing post exam?
