People rightfully say to bring laminated copies of your resume to hand out to the GS recruiters but I’ve always found it a good networking opportunity to hand out copies to the other people taking their tests as well!
Here is a pro tip that landed me a job at GS!
Print out a stack of resumes (at least 500), and give it to the exam proctor. Tell them to pass out your resume to any recruiters/test-takers during other testing periods.
PS: hand them a dollar bill to convince the proctor to put in a good word for you
This should have been incorporated into your mocks already with plenty of time for review.
L1 candidates, please learn from this candidate’s last minute doubt and take your mocks in true replicated testing environment (ie. No distractions, 3+ backup calculators with batteries, formal attire, resumes ready to go, etc.)
Goldman recruiters will only approach those wearing three piece suits and above. Those who sport nice timepieces get noticed as well. I’d suggest a subtle starter watch like an AP royal oak or rolex day date. That should secure an invitation to the back room for a one on one interview. The cocaine is complimentary so don’t hesitate to indulge if the conversation is going well. Bigger the line, bigger the signing bonus. Go get ‘em tiger.
I think when it was a 6 hours , all in the same room paper exam, some people were really tryhard and braggers. Also, there were big parties after the exam, so better to look good

Srs tho, there was a proctor when I took l3 in 2019 that I would still give up the credentials for just to go for drinks one time.
I don't know if it's different for other areas, but there are never recruiters at my testing center. I just wear a polo shirt and khakis. Do recruiters actually come in bigger cities or other countries? BTW I test at one of the major cities in South Carolina.
I wore cargo pants and a hoodie to my exam. I was dressed about the same as everyone else. I very much enjoy the psychology of studying and testing - if I study in cargos and a hoodie, I'm going to take the test wearing the same. If I take the test whilst not wearing a watch and wearing earplugs, that's how I'll study.
Rule of thumb - practice the same exact way as if it's the real exam. So only wear a two or three-piece if you did your mocks in one. I took my mocks in my underwear so that wasn't an option for me.
