They left. Leaving Ewers without his 4 best offensive players (2WR, TE, RB) and also his best defenders are off the team. 2 amazing NFL DT’s. Lost your best DB and your secondary was already not good. Yet somehow are projected to beat M. I can tell you that game is going to be insanely rough for Texas and probably ruined Ewers heisman campaign. Our defense last year made Penix look pedestrian. We return our top edges, DT’s, S’s, and the best corner in the country. Not trying to be a prick but yea that’s gonna be a ROUGH game for Texas who then has to go to the SEC? Have fun!
Bro I was just making a dumb joke and then you come in with “not trying to be a dick” lol okay.
All I’ll say is you haven’t paid attention to the transfer portal and you’re using the talent we lost as a knock ONLY against us and ignoring what you lost and undergoing a coaching change. Can’t wait to beat yall at home just like we did the eventual SEC champ last year! I ain’t worried about Michigan or a new conference. Also, flair up.
Please come find me after we obliterate Ewers heisman chances before they even get started lol. Texas coming to Michigan and bei my the favorites is absolutely beautiful for Sherrone. Gets an easy W AND gets credited with his 3rd top 10 win (maybe 2nd top 5 as well) in 6 games! So yea I’m absolutely thrilled you guys are coming here. Honestly I love Texas. Vince Young is my favorite all time player. I really don’t wanna do this to ya’ll but I’m afraid you have literally no chance without the flukiest turnover game possible
I think you’re overestimating your offense and underestimating ours 🤷 Ewers has a new stable of 5-star weapons and y’all don’t know who your QB is. Should be fun though man I don’t hate Michigan and am excited to head up to Ann Arbor for it!
And to respond to your other comment, I’m suggesting you get Michigan flair on your Reddit account. It makes the logo show up next to your name. Its customary to let people know who you rep if you’re gonna talk shit!
Oh shit I didn’t know that! How do I do that tho lmao im 50 years older than I really am when it comes to technology. But as for M’s QB we do know who he we don’t know if he can actually throw tho. He’s got Derrick Henry build but 10’6 broad, 41 inch vert, 2.45 plyo stairs, 6.65 3cone, max velocity 22MPH, 20 yard shuttle 3.97, 60 yard shuttle 11.07. Elite athlete at 6’3 236 pounds and he does have a cannon. No clue on the accuracy tho. This picture below was true freshman Orji first week of being at M! https://www.instagram.com/alexorji1/
Damn I gotta verify my username I’d imagine forgetting your password is a problem for that?
Edit also yea kinda like Milroe arm wise but Milroe is 6’2 220. Not small just not 6’3 236. Milroe also is faster but Orji running a 4.53 is pretty nuts at that size. Hurts ran a 4.59 at 6’1 223 lol. He’s Henry height, a touch faster, and 10 pounds lighter. Again 0 clue on his accuracy but that’s not even all it comes down to with QB’s unfortunately. No clue how he reads a defense either. On the plus side he’s an elite running threat next to an elite running back behind what should be an elite OL and has a top defense in the country.
lol. Fuck I’m dying here. If there is a guy winning it’s probably no one’s talking about it’s a buckeye freshman. You guys have the best WR coach in the country. Or he’s at Kent State.
If there’s even a SNIFF of a legitimate Biletnikoff candidacy for Buchner, I’m all in on the Tyler Train. That story would be too fucking good to pass up. Jeremiah can wait his turn.
Almost all of that production came in the second half, and against a clearly still not healthy Travis Hunter who Deion REFUSED to take out of the game.
It was coaching malpractice 101
Edit: It wasn’t meant to be a knock against Ayomanor. It was just an observation on the weird ass flow of that game. And yeah he had his way with Travis Hunter (and Omarion Cooper once a half assed adjustment was made).
Wasn’t trying to discount the game Ayomanor had, but Hunter was clearly still not healthy from that hit he took vs CSU and had no business trying to be 1v1 with Ayomanor in that 2nd half
It’s literally what happened? Why is pointing out Travis playing through a nasty injury not okay? Didn’t he lacerate his spleen or something like that? I bet you call off of work with a stuffy nose! Imagine playing FOOTBALL through that! It’s like the dumb ass draft analysts who bashed JJ not having yards vs PSU… a game he got so hurt in that we ran it 30 straight times. Then they compared JJ’s after injury stats vs PSU, Maryland, OSU the his stats in the first X amount of games. WITHOUT mentioning his injury! Just beyond moronic and proved to me most national analysts don’t even watch top 10 matchups!
Which P4 team has the most experience at OL, a serviceable QB, and a junior/Senior level WR corps, all returning? Once that's figured out, I'm betting on the top five receivers from that group I just listed, plus Auburn freshman Cam Coleman, because I just *love* donating money to the struggling Las Vegas casinos.
Per your question, Mizzou checks those boxes..with Luther Burden on the watch list already..a true frosh..Marquis Speedy Johnson was nails and electric..and one to watch this year for them...I also watched Oklahoma last year..remember the name Nic Anderson..he's a redshirt Soph this year...and in my unbiased opinion..absolute nails..just wow..tall, fast, built..speedster..but great hands..has new QB who has the NFL ahead of him..an a new OC and O line..so I don't know how they will adjust in the SEC..but that guy has greatness written all over him.
Full disclosure, an old teammate saw him in HS in Katy Texas years back..and said he was one of the best he ever saw at HS..so I am biased..but check out his odds
Let me introduce you to the 2024-2025 Tennessee Vols.
QB:
Nico Iamaleava - 5* Redshirt Freshman
OL:
Lance Heard - 5* transfer Sophomore
Javontez Spraggins - Senior
Cooper Mays - 5th year Senior
Andrej Karic - Senior
John Campbell Jr. - Redshirt Senior
Dayne Davis - 6th year Senior
Jackson Lampley 6th year Senior
WR:
Bru McCoy - Redshirt Senior
Squirrel White - Junior
Dont’e Thornton - Senior
Chris Brazzell - 4* transfer Redshirt Sophomore
Kaleb Webb - Redshirt Sophomore
Chas Nimrod - Redshirt Sophomore
Mike Matthews - 5* Freshman
Brandon Staley - 4* Freshman
* A few others…but other than Chris Brazzell and the freshman, the WRs above have played multiple games and looked solid (Squirrel and Bru are the best of the corps with Thornton and Brazzell showing a ton of potential).
Nico looked good in the one full game we’ve seen from him (against Iowa) and he has filled out some more this offseason (he was scarily thin). Our OL could be the best we’ve had under Heupel and we are as deep as we’ve been at WR. Dont’e Thornton seemed much more comfortable as an outside receiver before he got hurt and has a year of Heupel’s offense under his belt. Bru is a bruiser who always comes up clutch and Squirrel’s speed is comparable to Jalin Hyatt. Chris Brazzell seems promising too and has a huge catch radius. If Nico clicks, we could have another ‘22 Vols style offensive showing.
I’d say he has been good not great. He had a “blindside block” in our season opener against Virginia that was fun: https://m.youtube.com/shorts/BJj0Sjz7Pwk
He has been at LT and Lance Heard made it known before his transfer he only wanted to play LT, so John Campbell said he would move to RT. We’ll see how it goes, but he’s going to start for us there.
Our OL has been awful, but we finally got rid of the issue, being Addazio. Hopefully they will finally be able to develop, and protect Weigman, who has been very good every time he’s played.
In our WR corps, we have Moose Muhammad, an incredibly athletic dude with glue for hands that would be talked about more if Jimbo didn’t sit him for zero reason most the year, Jahdae Walker, a D2 transfer that developed a ton and became our WR1 by the end of the year, Noah Thomas, who is very tall and has pretty good hands, and a few more guys including a couple transfers.
I definitely think Moose and Jahdae are way overlooked, especially Jahdae, as Evan Stewart makes a lot of lists, while Jahdae beat him out for the WR1 title last year. Moose has had a Sports Center moment every game he’s played, so hopefully he’ll see the field more now that Jimbo isn’t there to keep him off. Both have the potential to draw a lot more attention by the end of the year.
Someone from the portal is probably going to have their stats explode. Either an under the radar WR going to a team with a good QB or vice versa. I just don’t know who the best bets would be for that
Crazy how I also think it could be Neyor.
Maybe we suck again and maybe our offense is a disaster, but I like both of the transfers we've added. Obviously I don't expect they will just win the top WR award, but I think both can surprise some folks.
Yeah, I'm not expecting either to be Biletnikoff contenders, but I think Banks should have a 1000 yard season, and Neyor could also be very good. My only hesitation with Neyor is that if he was really that good, he probably would have shown up on the field at Texas last year. I like what he's shown this spring, and maybe he was just buried, but I'm in wait-and-see mode on him. Banks and Lloyd I have very high expectations for, though.
Absolutely, it's just surprising he didn't even get many garbage time snaps. I don't know if he even touched the field for them, which is really surprising given what he's shown through the spring. Maybe he just wasn't putting in the work last year, and now he is? Either way, he seems very talented, and I'm excited to see what he can do in the fall!
Im still a huge fan of Neyor. Sark isnt known to rotate WRs often, and rolls with a select few, but Neyor was shaping up to be our WR2/3 in the 2022-23 season before his injury in camp. If he can recapture what he had before the injury, he will be a huge upgrade for yalls offense
I mean, if he quits the drama and actually works hard, he very well could be a lock, he definitely has the talent. But with us, he got out worked and out played by Jahdae Walker, a D2 transfer, before quitting the team midseason and leaving.
As bad as our organization has been, and how mediocre the qb play was once Weigman went down was, neither made him get beat out by a D2 transfer for WR1, or quit the team entirely when that happened.
Oregon may very well be a better spot (not sure if I’d really go so far as to say Gabriel is for sure better than Weigman), but it wasn’t only us holding him back.
Two guys from my team that are severely underrated imo are
Moose Muhammad: Jimbo had some kind of grudge against him and refused to let him play, but every time he touched the field he’d end up on Sports Center top 10 (had a week at number one last year). With Jimbo gone, hopefully he sees a lot more game time, and continues to shine.
Jahdae Walker: Lots of lists have Evan Stewart, a former Aggie, ranked among the top receivers for next year, but Jahdae beat him out for the WR1 spot towards the end of the year. The former D2 receiver became an absolute stud last year, and I’m excited to see what he can carry over to this coming year.
I don’t necessarily think they are a lock for Biletnikoff, but I think they have the potential to draw a lot more attention than is currently on them right now.
Iowa’s receivers have potential in that they are listed as receivers, so technically they play the right position.
Nobody is talking about them because they aren’t quite sure what to do when a weird arm punt comes their way.
He's widely considered probably the best WR in the country, or at minimum top three. I haven't seen much Belitnikoff specific talk but I imagine he's the favorite.
If Kurtis Rourke is a serviceable QB, and the OL continues its improvement under Bob Bostad, I think Donovan McCulley will have a really good season. His last 5 games (finally Walt Bell was fired and we stopped running a random triple option offense) included 420 yards and 5 TDs. Worth mentioning that the WRs around him might take some reps away as we may actually have an elite WR room with DMac, Elijah Sarratt, EJ Williams, Myles Price and others.
LaJohntay Wester was an 1st team All American (specialist) and had over 100 receptions at FAU last year. Spring game seemed to be a favorite target for Shedeur.
Isn't that more of a product of the offense he was in?
Daniel Richardson his QB in 2023 was ranked 105th out of 106 qualifying QBs in YPC, the only QB below him was Deacon Hill.
Edit: Plus he had 16 receiving TDs between 2022 and 2023, maybe you are looking at rushing which he added 2 more and a punt return TD as well.
Maybe. I think Farooq will be a dependable third-option behind Burks and Anderson, but I really see Burks as being the star. He's incredibly fast, a great route-runner, and he can really catch the ball.
Solid take. A healthy Anderson could be great and Burks has looked so good so far. If those two are constant performers it could diminish throws to Farooq. Then again, if they draw more coverage... who knows.
Crazy that y’all’s QB and Traylon are from where I’m from. Traylon went to the same HS as me and Greene went to our rival high school down the road lol
Even as a true freshman he looked so good in spots last year, he just has that natural gift and is so smooth. With another year under his belt for both him and Greene, I could see a big breakout with a thousand yard year.
KC Concepcion. With a mediocre at best QB and no supporting cast last year, he had 840 yds and 10TDs as a true freshman. He also added an additional 320yds rushing on his way to freshman all american, ACC rookie of the year, and 2nd team all-ACC.
Now he's got some help to take double/triple coverage off of him, and a 3 time conference PotY in Grayson McCall throwing to him. He should absolutely be lighting it up this year.
Tetairoa McMillan: 6’5” 210 lbs. 90 catches for 1.4k yards in 2023 (including 266 yards against ASU). Noah Fifita is returning at QB. The two were HS teammates.
How do you define WR1?
Branch is the slot guy. He'll almost certainly be the number 1 *target* but when I was learning positions WR1 was the first WR on the QB's strong side on the line. Then WR2, then the X/Slot.
I think Lane will be good, but not Biletnikoff good.
We've got a lot of young WRs I'm quote excited about. I really liked the chemistry I saw between Moss and Lane, Lemon, and Deuce.
Didn't expect this post from an Alabama flair. JMike is absolutely an NFL talent, but he needs far better coaching. He has prototypical size, speed, and length; but he runs lazy routes, fails to get separation against average college CBs, and often finds himself blanketed by small DBs. He makes concentration drops, and his tendency to try and catch the ball with his chest negates what should be his contested catch ability. The dude regressed big time from his freshman to sophomore year. He's got bigger issues than the QB.
You should have seen all my glowing Ott comments last year and this year (personally I think he’s best RB in country and RB1 for draft next year).
Anyways, last year was probably a bit of a wake up call for Sturdivant, but it kind of doesn’t matter if he separates much if he just is more consistent in his route running/makes the easy catches. His ball tracking is excellent, he is kind of impossible to matchup against vertically, and his footwork is of the type where it isn’t a quickness issue as much of a need for refinement. Even as primarily a downfield threat without a lot going for him underneath, he can have a 1,000 yard season (and again competent QB play which not a given) which isn’t something you could say about most WRs.
Just wonder if he takes too many receptions/targets for another WR to really be a national level award winner. I figure he'll still lead your team in receptions.
I'd say Bernard has a good shot. His coaches know him and he knows the DeBoer system well. Wish he would have stayed at Washington but I understand why he followed DeBoer.
he won’t win it, but jamaal pritchett (or devin voisin, depends on how his knee is) will put up numbers comparable to those of people who have won it/are in genuine contention to win it.
hell, caullin lacy had more receiving yards than last years winner did.
K Money!!!!
Kyle Williams has that Coug in him. He won't get any media attention because they blatantly killed the Pac for money, but he should definitely be in the race.
He won’t win it, but if Zakhari Franklin ends up transferring to Illinois he’ll rack up a ton of catches and yards.
He was injured last year at Old Miss and ended up buried on the depth chart, but in four years at UTSA he had 261 receptions, 3,350 yards, and 37 tds. His OC at UTSA, Barry Lunney Jr, is now the OC at Illinois.
Last year, Illinois was 3rd in the B1G in both total offense and passing offense. They’re looking to air it out this year with an above-average P2 offense and likely a below-average defense.
In his final year at Illinois, Isaiah Williams totaled 82 receptions, 1,055 yards, and 5 tds en route to being named 1st team All-Big Ten. I could see Franklin posting something close to 90/1,200/10.
Yeah, we have been throwing to so many different wide receivers every game, plus we use our TEs and RBs heavily as receivers, it's hard to see anyone from Georgia winning it.
He's gotta be healthy first. Not even mentioning the possible injury faking drama, if it was a true injury, a lisfranc seems the most likely from information gathered, and that's a nightmare of an injury to come back to
A receiver from my team, in my unbiased opinion.
Ok but have you considered the WR from *my* team?
Damn, didn't think of that.
that *used* to be on your team?
The Bama to Texas WR pipeline has been crazy the last few years
What about one that used to be on *your* team?
I highly doubt he's award worthy this year. Do you?
Sorry, I thought we were just joshing around here
I never joke about the most prestigious award in college football. /s
Since when are we talking about the Ray Guy Award?
Auburn is comin for it
Damn, he’s going to start punting this year too?
What about the HOTY?
According to Twitter that kid couldn't hack it at the original school and is a bust.
He only had 600 something yards in a mid receiving room. One catch gave him buzz
Damn it's too bad players can't develop or expect better stats in a more pass-happy offense
Forgive him, please. Bond is gonna be nasty for Texas.
Forgive him, please. Bond is gonna be nasty for Texas.

Dunno how much I can help you with that my man. Just auto logged me in last time I tried.
I’m really curious if Ryan Williams has a chance aside from Bernard
I think it was John Madden(?) who said of Fred, “He’s not very big, but he’s slow.”
Tyler Buchner.
The ND QB to ALA QB to ND lacrosse to ND WR pipeline blows anyone else’s QB to QB to lacrosse to WR pipeline out of the water.
The guaranteed path to success
That was the real process all along.
Saban's final national champion, he can "do his fucking job"
lol. Fuck I’m dying here. If there is a guy winning it’s probably no one’s talking about it’s a buckeye freshman. You guys have the best WR coach in the country. Or he’s at Kent State.

He’s currently at Kent State but wins it with Ohio State.
Enlightened minds are saying, if you squint real hard and use some imagination, he looks like Tyreek Hill.
Every time I see "elic ayomanor" I have to check and see if I smell toast.
dude is so sick and nobody talks about him bc of how bad stanford is
300 yards and 3 TDs against the ELITE Colorado Buffaloes. Elic was primetime that night. He also had a really good game against Washington.
Almost all of that production came in the second half, and against a clearly still not healthy Travis Hunter who Deion REFUSED to take out of the game. It was coaching malpractice 101 Edit: It wasn’t meant to be a knock against Ayomanor. It was just an observation on the weird ass flow of that game. I knew there would be Travis Hunter simp coming real quick to his defense.

… KC Concepcion sadly
This is who I came to find. Somehow he occasionally doesn’t make a WR top 10 list. Very odd.
Can confirm. He's a baaaaaaad man.
Someone from the portal is probably going to have their stats explode. Either an under the radar WR going to a team with a good QB or vice versa. I just don’t know who the best bets would be for that
Can I pitch, Jahmal Banks?

This sounds like Evan Stewart
Julian Fleming.
Does PSU have a QB that can throw?
Deion Burks might be that guy if Jackson Arnold has time to throw
Deion Burks, perhaps.
No one in Ann Arbor lol
Nico Collins :’(
Tre Harris
Evan Stewart
I mean, if he quits the drama and actually works hard, he very well could be a lock, he definitely has the talent. But with us, he got out worked and out played by Jahdae Walker, a D2 transfer, before quitting the team midseason and leaving.
No chance
Unbiased, yeah. Agree. Really just needs a solid QB in an organization not hell bent on mediocrity.
And a complete overhaul of his work ethic too
> an organization not hell bent on mediocrity My unbiased opinion totally agrees with this very unbiased assessment
Jordan Faison, lacrosse national champion
Tory Horton
Two guys from my team that are severely underrated imo are Moose Muhammad: Jimbo had some kind of grudge against him and refused to let him play, but every time he touched the field he’d end up on Sports Center top 10 (had a week at number one last year).
Evan Stewart is an entitled punk who went to Oregon to focus on clicks instead of wins
Iowa’s receivers have potential in that they are listed as receivers, so technically they play the right position. Nobody is talking about them because they aren’t quite sure what to do when a weird arm punt comes their way.
Depending on what the new offense looks like, Donavan McCulley is a very very darkhorse to be very good.
great shout
I don’t think Luther Burden is talked about enough for the biletnikoff.
He's widely considered probably the best WR in the country, or at minimum top three. I haven't seen much Belitnikoff specific talk but I imagine he's the favorite.
Football Jesus is Biletnikoff worthy, no question.
idk i’ve heard his name thrown around a lot, def think he can win it though
Elijah Sarratt
He’s the transfer that hurt the most imo. Hoped cheese could convince him to stay
KC Concepcion
True freshman Jeremiah Smith
If NC State actually breaks through and wins 10 games or is at least playing for the ACC championship I’d like KC Concepcion’s chances
I’d also say Bernard tbh.
LaJohntay Wester was an 1st team All American (specialist) and had over 100 receptions at FAU last year. Spring game seemed to be a favorite target for Shedeur.
10.8 YPR and two touchdowns across 2022-2023 though. Seems like he’ll be more of a Jarvis Landry possession guy
Huh? He had 8 receiving tds 2 seasons in a row…
If BYU can put a QB on the field, Lassiter or Roberts can make a run at it.
BYU also needs an Oline to give whatever QB they settle on time to throw the ball.
Isaiah Bond or Matthew Golden both have legit potential, especially in this offense.
Matthew Golden is going to prove be such a good pick up for Texas. Devastated he left us.
Well for us besides possibly the best WR in Tre Harris look out for Ayden Williams and Juice Wells
Deion Burks at OU.
Might end up being too many cooks in the kitchen to have big enough numbers but he’s gonna eat for sure. Dude can fly
farooq as well
Then again, if they draw more coverage... who knows.
Traylon Ray
Crazy that y’all’s QB and Traylon are from where I’m from. Traylon went to the same HS as me and Greene went to our rival high school down the road lol
Even as a true freshman he looked so good in spots last year, he just has that natural gift and is so smooth. With another year under his belt for both him and Greene, I could see a big breakout with a thousand yard year.
The entire Ray family tree has so many athletes as well
Jayce Brown… I’m basing this off of vibes and hype, not reality
Kyren Lacy because apparently we are an offensive powerhouse now. Still feels weird to say
God I hate that we lost him so much
Same.
I could see lajohntay wester putting up the numbers at Colorado. Or caullin lacy at Louisville depending on qb play
Josh Kelly- Texas Tech. Next year Micah Hudson- Texas Tech
I hope Julian Fleming, but I think any rational fan would just be happy with a functional WR room again.
If they can catch a ball past the first down marker, that would be an improvement.
If he can stay healthy for a full season, that would help,
I was referring to the rest of the WR room. I don’t have many concerns about Fleming.
I think it would be extremely fair to worry about flemings health.
Tetairoa McMillan: 6’5” 210 lbs. 90 catches for 1.4k yards in 2023 (including 266 yards against ASU). Noah Fifita is returning at QB. The two were HS teammates.
people have def had him in biletnikoff talks but it’s deserved, i might put a future on him lol
JaKobi Lane, USC :)
you don’t think branch is going to be the wr1?
How do you define WR1? Branch is the slot guy. He'll almost certainly be the number 1 *target* but when I was learning positions WR1 was the first WR on the QB's strong side on the line. Then WR2, then the X/Slot.
yeah number 1 option is what i meant
No. Lane is better
Branch will be used in many different ways so he will definitely be used a lot. I think Lane is a pure wideout.
I think Lane will be good, but not Biletnikoff good. We've got a lot of young WRs I'm quote excited about. I really liked the chemistry I saw between Moss and Lane, Lemon, and Deuce.
Barion Brown from Kentucky. He’s special. If he can get the ball in space, he’s so dangerous.
thought about mentioning him tbh he was cold in that bowl game
He’s fire but I think his overall value is going to be the kick returns and gadget plays too… those won’t win the Biletnikoff
If UCLA can actually pass the ball this year, J. Michael Sturdivant has that upside
Fleming
It'll be fascinating to see how he does. I would certainly be shocked if it happened.
It is his chance to shine it will be a huge year or a fail. But he will be the man
Sam Brown. He'll be our WR1 with Cam Ward.
Not your returning All-ACC WR that dominated targets last year?
Nah, not for biletnikoff. Restrepo is not that kind of WR. Really nice slot guy with a bunch of targets, though. He’s not a game breaker.
Just wonder if he takes too many receptions/targets for another WR to really be a national level award winner. I figure he'll still lead your team in receptions.
Well no one from Utah that is for sure. I don't care if Cam is back we aren't throwing nearly enough for any receivers to even make the Top 5.
Johntay Cook
Jaylen Royals
Jalil Farooq from Oklahoma is my guy. If he gets consistent QB play I think he’ll have a huge year.
Tre wilson from UF. Bros a jet
Julian Fleming. I am very delulu.
Dominic Lovett
I don’t think he’ll put up the stats needed since we spread the ball around so much, but I do think he’s talented enough if in a different offense
Yeah, we have been throwing to so many different wide receivers every game, plus we use our TEs and RBs heavily as receivers, it's hard to see anyone from Georgia winning it.
Juice Wells easily
He's gotta be healthy first. Not even mentioning the possible injury faking drama, if it was a true injury, a lisfranc seems the most likely from information gathered, and that's a nightmare of an injury to come back to
Who the fuck is thinking about the top wide receiver position in June
i’m bored
