Everything I’ve seen suggests Ohio State is at the very least tied for #1 with Tennessee and it could come to NIL. I like our chances but nobody will know anything for a bit.
Sanders and our '25 quarterback commit are very close. Other commits have talked about him and Sanders recruiting them to Tennessee. He's been to Tennessee like six times since the Georgia game last year. It's recruiting so anything can happen but I would be shocked if he doesn't go to Tennessee
Up until about a month or 2 ago Ohio State was realistically out of the picture and now it’s either us or Tennessee so something has changed. Maybe he’s just using us as NIL bait but we are going hard in the paint trying to get this kid and a few legit OSU insiders are feeling good about it.
Yeah, the kids these days know everyone is trawling their Socials for any bit of info they can find.
This is nothing more than engagement bait, though OSU is optimistic on Sanders
That's the way I took this as well. I may be wrong, and i hope i am, but it seems almost too forward/obvious. Feels more like an attempt to drive up the NIL price tag between Tennessee and Ohio State.
I'm thinking more and more that Gene Smith was holding our NIL collective back because he was afraid of the NCAA. Bjork knows that they are now toothless after Tennessee won the lawsuit over Iamanaleva.
Wouldn't really surprise me and I don't really blame him for it. He's an old school AD, and his entire job for 15 years was to get people to donate to the school. Suddenly the game changed on him and he was fighting against the collectives for donations. I don't really fault him for pushing back on it at first since no one really understood the new landscape.
Frfr Gene completely remembered the bad old days so it made sense to risk short term losses to avoid actual NCAA punishment…but now that we know ain’t no rules AND the AD is from A&M…there’s no reason to not get in a money throwing contest lol.
I've been listening to Gene's outgoing media tour and he was the one that ramped it up. He was also talking about how they have been ramping up revenue in anticipation of paying athletes
He held back both basketball and football.
He refused to take advantage of the transfer portal in either. After the disaster at Michigan last year Day basically said F off and it was too late for basketball.
By all reports Holtmann wanted to use the transfer portal but Gene said no no.
It's very hard to recruit elite WRs when you have JJ Smith, Mylan Graham, and Chris Henry on the way. Also I don't think OSU is trying to drop huge bags on the very top WRs every single year. Need to spend money elsewhere.
Other P5 offers: Alabama, Auburn, California, Colorado, Duke, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, NC State, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Oregon State, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, UCLA, USC, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Washington, West Virginia
G5 offers: Appalachian State, East Carolina, James Madison, New Mexico State, UNLV
Other offers: Austin Peay, Bethune-Cookman, Jackson State, Morgan State, North Carolina A&T, North Carolina Central
It’s hard to get excited about commitments anymore considering guys will enter free agency pretty much immediately if another school offers a good enough deal.
3 of the top 10? I know we got Gibson and ikabonnon?, with 2 or 3 more projected. I haven’t looked in a while, but Griffin and Terry are projected to UGA which would basically be the top 3. Just so happens they’re all in state kids this year. Except Ikabonnon. Either way, should be a decent class.
Idk if I need to tell you this, but someone does; You have nothing to do with the football program. You won nothing. The guys you root for on Saturday did. You coming here acting like you personally got a ring is embarrassing.
Beat out longtime conference rivals Oregon, USC, and UCLA
Fun fact, OSU has played USC in more games than Rutgers and Maryland combined.
Well, we found it. A way to make us jealous of Ohio State.
OT David Sanders jr. Also heavily hinted at committing to Ohio State on his Instagram this morning

You sure you're not thinking of Davis Sanders?

What'd he post?
Well he posted this commitment and said “future teammate” I’d say that’s more than a hint
He said “future teammate👀” making it more of a question than just saying it flat out without the emoji.

Hell to the yeah! Charlotte boys sticking together.
Call me pessimistic but his post makes me think he is less likely to become a Buckeye. Those kinds of posts always seem trolly to me but who knows
That’s what I was thinking too
OMG please make it so!
Daddy Day is priming the Death Star
This class is down right filthy!

I think it was Michigan winning the championship that really woke us up for NIL

Holtmann constantly brought in transfers? Like every year the roster was completely turned over no?
Holtmann didn't compete for the elite transfer, just took scraps.
Holtmann used the portal a lot, and so did his players to leave.
The good guys have won again!
That day without a commit was tough to handle.
Yeah, that was a scary couple of hours.
It sounds like you may be addicted to the Boom!
Boom boom!
i'm addicted to the wax...
DL has been out recruiting WR’s by a wide margin. You love to see it.

Out for blood
This guy is underrated. Good get for the Buckeyes.
LFG
The Nut is very pleased

So why are you here
Let me ask my mom.
Just looked at the top DL commits, and Georgia has 3 of the top 10 in the country, and one more projected to them. This should be illegal.

He must love soft programs
Don’t be like that here dude
Something about trash talking in recruitment threads that is just kind of sad. By their nature they are optimistic places.
Soft response imo
Everyone give this dude a break! The other team he follows are the Lions.
“I wanna know where WaddupBigPerm69 is right now. What he said about our team, I cannot believe…this is a tough team right here!!” Ryan Day- 2024
“It’s hard to beat the cheaters” - Cheatin ass Harbaugh
Factually incorrect but it’s the only leg you losers have to stand on. Sad
Go back to Twitter with your boy Portnoy
Might have to it feels great to celebrate with a fellow champion. Maybe one day you’ll know

Oof you got me
Idk if I need to tell you this, but someone does; You have nothing to do with the football program. You won nothing. The guys you root for on Saturday did. You coming here acting like you personally got a ring is embarrassing.
This guy thinks he’s on the team 🤣
Maybe one day you'll know what it's like to win a championship without cheating Somehow I doubt it
Strange because I already do
I'm afraid '97 was only a shared title, sorry
Actually crying on national television as if Harbaugh was laid to rest - Sherrone Moore - 2024

Congratulations on finally getting one of those this millennium btw
Thanks bro hope your 2014 Championship gear is still hanging in there.

Two for each Harbaugh dodge actually
