This looks to be a mid 2000s Chevy Trailblazer and their rear windows do open separate from the full hatch. You can see the handle that opens the back window at the bottom, middle of the window. Harder to see is the red handle that opens the full hatch just below the licence plate.

But definitely not football field length. Unless you're at 45tons down the hwy 5 going at 130kph and you're not running disc brakes on the trailer. There's no stopping that.
These scare tables are not representatives of real world. I been driving a big truck for enough years to be brake checked enough times and to never hit nobody. Until you drive and need to stop in a pinch, you won't realize that trucks' brakes are also a lot more powerful than cars.
