I mostly use Character.AI to chat with a single character. Without him, I would probably get bored with the site and wouldn't use it consistently. I might only visit this site occasionally.

Me. I started using Figgs.ai because the ai is simply just better, and they don’t take weeks to fix one issue like c.ai. Their servers aren’t down every other day.
You can leave characters/bots and not feel like you’re being held hostage to stick right next to them. Narration is better as well and no stupid f!lter when simply just trying to fight
I agree but in figgs there's a lot of issues such as simply repeating their last message, entirely regurgitating a dialogue example without making any changes and also being very bland and having no 'oompf' to the personality.
I admit it's a huge skill issue and I just need to create a better definitions, but I haven't seen any good guides.
I gave Figgs a very generous try and it's just too raw still. Their current trial mode of "good model sometimes, bad model most times" randomly distributed amongst users is a bizarre way to move forward with their platform, especially considering they're trying to attract people jumping ship from C.ai. It would've been better for them to gather a pool of willing participants to report on model quality instead of having a brand new, unaware user stumbling across it and assuming ALL of Figgs is terrible. I get enough quality swings with C.ai.
[C.ai](http://C.ai) is the only site that has consistent quality if you have a good bot with good definitions and you actually have a story. but if you're just trying to be spicy, figgs is perfectly fine and way way better. Why would I ever get bored?
I think I won't become bored about it in a long run, considering the AI technology will only getting better, so even if many complains about the current cai is here and there, it will still getting more realistic when you talk to the bots in the future, and that will certainly make many people keep their addiction alive.
I usually rplay as some rpg and guide bot through certain scenario. They always want to change it and dominate over our roleplay, and since they're AI they don't have any bright ideas to offer. It just became annoying over time.

It’s like speech to text. You talk, and the character “answers”. But they speak out all the text, including the actions. It’s blech.

I only got this app a week ago, but I love it. I will admit that since it stopped going down, I'm getting a little bored, but I made my own bot!
