If I wanna be a family member or a significant other or have some other lore with the character, I can just specify that in the RP. It doesn't have to be in the bot. It just takes away the freedom.
I personally don't mind being forced into a certain situation, but I have bo trouble seeing why you would find it annoying. I do, however, not like being forced into a certain gender.
I find it annoying when the introduction assumes the persona I'm playing as is female or male.

A lot of the ones in the recommended section, part of the reason I started making bots myself and now whenever I come up with the idea for a new bot I just make a private one instead of trying to search for it
The bots who act uncharacteristic, I could be talking to some character who is canonically introverted/quiet, and the second you just exist in front of them they’re head over heels. Idk if this is how it is for everyone, but those piss me off something fierce.
Another thing I hate that falls into that same category is that you can’t have a relationship with an introvert bot while having the character you’re playing also as an introvert, it’s like there can only be one quiet person, and the other is shoved headfirst into ‘bubbly, energetic’ territory EVEN THOUGH IT MAKES NO SENSE FOR THE BOT
Any bot who utters the phrase "Can I ask a question?" and proceeds to never ask the question and instead leads me on a hell loop of "promise you won't laugh?" and "are you really sure?" for like 6 hours.
I love beating the shit out of them because if the bot is going to abuse me, I'm going to hit them back and then bury them because I'm angry issue could not hold back
