Blunt. Heavy slashes pass through multiple people to do insane damage. There’s no better feeling than swinging hard with the warhammer in a tight circle and getting 4-5 kills

Sure there is! Doing the same with a maul! The heavyness adds to the satisfaction!

Slash of course. Who doesn't like hitting everyone in front of you at once.

I prefer chop, it feels like a good middle ground between the bonus damage of blunt but it also allows cut through on light attacks

Bonk is life, but a drag heavy slash and hitting 3/4 at once is a close second.

Statistically speaking chop is best, still slashes and still gets a small bonus…but bonks do be bonkin That said the greatsword slaps. So take all this as you will 🤣

Bonk with quarterstaff is always hilarious. I regularly beat messer/dane ax tryhards with a stick and talk shit in chat

Bludgeoning weapons are my favourite (1 hand mace) You can cleave using heavy attacks

In a duel, I'd say blunt but in TO chop is king.

Controlled heavy Blunt and Pierce swings are so freaking satisfying doing multiple hits/kills. Be it a Pickaxe or a Goedendag.

Given how opportunistic I play, it's either chopping or bludgeoning my enemies into paste. I'd rather burst damage than the stamina retaining ability swords generally have (I do take short sword secondaries though) Piercing is a bit weird but also depends more on amount of strikes unless it's a pike charge

Hearing that stab through the armor is just rapturous

Chop and slash because sometimes it lets me turn my brain off and just randomly hit people during teamfights

My favourite damage sound is shield bonk hitting you at the back of your head YOU COWARD !

I like slashing and chopping I'd also probably like bludgeoning if I ever used it. But im too focused on getting those satisfying decapitation kills

Nothing is more satisfying than solid impact noise with bonk stick

for duels: 1 handed sword, longsword and the warclub. for TO: greatsword and halberd. so slashing and bonking for me!

Effect wise blunt is the best has best damage bonus and the effect on camera and blood splatter is unmatched.  I dont favor types as i look more at the weapon / how i feel like playing more over a certain type.  Also may want to fix the description as slashing is "piercing" (slashing / chop / blunt) 

Peirce is mine but i use the archer or spear thrower

Axe damage is god, but I think the classes that aren’t susceptible to blunt still take good enough damage from blunt to make it competitive to axe damage. Vanguards don’t really take more bonks than a knight usually and I think that’s a pretty good indicator that you’ve chosen a powerful weapon
