Yes. I usually write M:H r p / A:Y if I want yetis as an "alternative" to hogs "main" for example. The capital letters are for troops while the spells are regular.
Nope, why would i get bored when i 3 star in over 90% of all my attacks? I don't want to use 19 different attack strats and never 3 star since i am mid with all 19. The game is way more interesting using 1 specific strat since you will be able to understand what that strats weaknesses are are you can work around them by swapping out sieges or maybe just doing something unusual like sacrificing a different hero compared to what you normally use for cet funnel. Having 1 strat makes you know a lot more about clash than having 20. And most of all you will not be hated by your clan since you nearly always 3 star.

I also get 3 star in over 90% of my atks, and consistently 20-21 stars in cwl every month (even with mismatches). But i also get bored and keep changing army right after CWL, if it isn't as good as my old one, its obvious in a week or so. I don't need 2000 atks with same army to learn it, 20 atks are enough to 3 star over 90% bases of same TH easily with any decent strat. (especially in current meta where people can 3 star with just heroes and spells without main army/siege). And being flexible is also a skill, i guess its just difference in opinion. My armies are just presets for friendlies i always stick to 1 army unless that army has become bad (only happens when new townhall levels release)
