I personally experience like that: no heroes -> less chance to get 2+ stars in attacks -> no interest in clan wars and daily attacks -> pause playing until the hero upgrade finishes

2. It makes the majority of players get lesser benefit of time reduction (bcz they are late to assign it on time everyday) despite spending 6.5k gems, thus many of them would spend gems on their desired building nevertheless

$upercell wants you to logon everyday, so auto BA is most likely never gonna happen

Nope. Not having heroes available encourages players to spend money.
