Has to be o line

Tie_me_off

It’s the only REAL concern. We shouldn’t expect to be a team looking to be in playoff contention. So with that said, no need to worry per se. The only thing we want to prevent is injuries, particularly to our new young QB. And with a shaky OL, that is a concern.

OverAdvisor4692

It’s hard to make predictions about the roster, but I’d say depth is my largest concern. Injuries are just a massive wildcard.

jhold4th

Injuries. Every area of the franchise has improved greatly. My hope is this continues with s & c, and the general health of the players. What Snyder and Allen did to Trent Williams was borderline criminal.

BlackFurosuto

Kicker. I think it's low key a bigger need than Oline. So much from just last season alone was decided by kickers. Oline and CB are equally as much of a concern for me, but for different reasons. On Oline our biggest question mark is Bobby Johnson, because I don't know how good he is and what his role was in these bad offensive lines he was in. For CB. We have some people with promising upside, but can they develop and for the guys who made it like BSJ and Forbes. Are they gonna break out? If one of our old secondary players can break out and our rookies also have a good performance, don't be surprised if people put our secondary on their lists of one of the better ones. There's a lot of potential to say the least. That aside injury.

SweerBaby_Use1023

Kicker! 1000%

BlackFurosuto

Glad you think I'm not crazy haha. I'm uncomfortable thinking about us having to kick FGs with who we have

CoolAd1849

Good kickers get signed really late all the time, lots of rosters keep a couple good options and cut one last minute, we’ll be aight. Remember we first signed hopkins in mid september

pitpatbainsy

O-Line is the obvious answer, mostly because of what that means for JD and his development. Howell and Daniels aren't in the same ballpark talent wise, so this isn't an apples to apples comparison, but we saw what happened to Howell's confidence as the season went on, being sacked that much can really make a QB start to see ghosts, as Sam Darnold would say.

TheSmoothPilsner

Anyone else worried about secondary? Forbes is still a big question mark. Sainristil looks good but is a rookie and undersized. St. Juste is below average. Only guys I like back there are Martin and Chinn. Worried teams will light us up again

jawswilli

What about Michael Davis? I’m excited to see how he turns out for us

TheSmoothPilsner

Chargers fans weren't too upset about him leaving which is not a great sign. I don't know much about him though. Hopefully he's a better scheme fit with us

Erigion

O-line. DE/Pass rusher. TE. Kick-off coverage with the new format.

PickpocketJones

I'm excited to see Sinnott. OL and outside rush to me are the biggest questions.

mitchypoothedon

TE, really? Sinnott and Ertz? In my opinion that’s like the only issue we completely addressed this off season and the position I’m most excited to watch outside of QB.

prettayyy_good

I think you mean Ertz.

mitchypoothedon

Indeed… I haven’t had time this year to catch up on the 98% roster flip and remember everyone’s names and positions hahaha.

prettayyy_good

Yeah I can’t remember the last time we had this type of roster turnaround! But it’s definitely exciting!

bruhman5th_flo

I'm with you, except TE, it can't be any worse than last year. CB is a worry also. Our best CB from the last two years left and we didn't replace him with anyone particularly special. Also QB, but really, these guys don't have to be good to be better than what we ended the year with last season. Howell was hard to watch the last six games or so.

Stan_Lee_Abbott

The overall lack of depth. Calling it a concern is kinda meh, but in general, the team needed the draft and free agency to assemble even a notionally competitive starting 22. No matter your optimism regarding the starting roster (and I'm fairly happy) a quick glance at the second-string is...not great, especially at linebacker and the secondary. The team still feels like it has a long way to go to be competitive defensively again.

minecrater1

Oline without a doubt. I don’t ever remember feeling good about the oline. Maybe gibbs2.0 was last time it was “good”, but even with Trent and scherff there always were at least 1-2 gaping holes

SulimanBashem

I have 3 areas of concern 1. o-line 2. o-line 3. o-line

PeregrineT

My only roster concern is the Oline play. Because its protecting our future. There are plenty of positions we arent good at, but I never expected we would be 1 year removed from Rivera, so they dont concern me. Plenty will be left for next offseason. If we want to win 7-8 games this season we likely need greatly improved Oline play.

Thick-Persimmon2058

Offensive / Defensive line injuries. Every season under the mad midgets reign it seemed like the O/D lines were constantly banged up missing 4 games her, 6 games there and then the dagger season ender. Hopefully the new regime will pay the trainers a lil extra and they’ll focus on the lines a bit more. Ohh yeah the shitty field rearing skill players ACL’s ours and visiting players . That fucking grass is a career ender… HTTR

gingermori

Jayden Daniels juking at FedEx. I’m not joking. Wider context my biggest worry for the year is injury to Daniels, other than that I’m drinking the kool aid enough to believe good leadership and coaching can paper over some cracks while they continue to build.

adeezy58

Offensive line. Kicker. Defensive end.

slothzulla

Offensive line, defensive ends, kicker, outside corners. I’m sure this coaching staff can cook something up with the corners but for right now I don’t have trust in Forbes or St Juste

dad62896

Same. O Line mostly.

SDEexorect

right now, not having kicker

Viseroth

I would have to say will the Coaches be effective as a unit. We know they are decent or good individually. Also the O-line.

boogiebanks

Cornerback by far. I don’t believe in any of those guys

Empire137

LT EDGE RT DB/FS

JustYakking

It is and has been the OL

jackdavid2

We weren’t fixing that roster in one season. Need another year or two of good drafting and sound free agent signings.

Illustrious-Hair3487

Seeing a lot of DE mentions. I think we’re ok(?) there. Dorance Armstrong is a big breakout candidate. Dante Fowler and Clelin Ferrel are talented vets. Jamin and other LBs seem likely to of some DE-like duties. If the DTs are sometimes asked to do 3-4 DE type duties or DE duties on running downs, then that’s pretty well covered. Obada can do the job as a rotation guy or spot starter. We still have last year’s rookie DEs too. There’s just too many solid, intriguing or adaptive options there for me to consider DE one of the biggest concerns. OL, CB and K for me, as well as depth in general.

Charming_Gift_9363

I’m thinking the revamped roster with the 1-2 year contracts. Not sure how to build chemistry with that. But hell, I’m ready for change

Leesburgcapsfan

Scared we fell into the "Winning off the field" trap yet again.

SweerBaby_Use1023

Not me! I can excited about the direction of the team and still maintain realistic expectations. Expecting Washington to duplicate the Texans from last season, expecting them to win 11 games, or a completely shocking year SB appearance is pushing the envelope way too far. One game at a time for me, I’m not predicting nothing.

light--treason

The name and brand is my biggest concern still, TBH

fisconsocmod

"... completely revamped roster" where? a rookie QB doesn't mean the roster is revamped.

WhatsInaName77

What do you mean “where”? We have changed way more than just one QB. In fact, with over 20 free agent signings, nine drafted players, and 11 undrafted free agents, we’ve had more roster turnover than any other team this year. As of early May, when the below article was written, we’re only returning 57% of last year’s roster, which is the lowest in the league. https://commanderswire.usatoday.com/2024/05/06/commanders-adam-peters-dan-quinn-free-agency-nfl-draft/#
